Greens. Richmond, CA city politics were dominated by the Greens a decade ago. They were a lot less crazy than Sawant.

Socialist Alternative are a much more organized machine that has done more pound-per-pound than the Green party has. They are more uniform in being pro-worker and having a better line than the Greens.

They should merge. With the two major parties increasingly forced to respond to the climate crisis (eventually even Republicans), there won't be any need for a single-issue environmentalist party. Capitalist Greens might as well join the Democrats.

It's a Trotskyist party and Trotsky was quite brutal, in fact he was arguably worse than Lenin during the Russian Civil War.

It's a Trotskyist party and Trotsky was quite brutal, in fact he was arguably worse than Lenin during the Russian Civil War.

Trotsky isn’t leading the party now is he. Not like you don’t vote for the party started by a man who ethnically displaced Indians and was noted for his corruption and demagoguery.

Socialist Alternative has actually done a pretty good job with being one of, if not the, leading force on the Socialist left that isn’t aligned with Democrats. I’ve got much respect for their activism and work, from what I’ve seen of it.
