What states could they pick up from 2000? Colorado? Virginia?

2000 + NV, NH, and OH.

What about Virginia? Assuming Gore won in '00, and Mark Warner won the next year's governor's race , won't Gore-Lieberman be a good fit in Virginia?

He got 44% of the vote in VA, although he did not make any campaign stops there.


He might've done better in some areas, but NOVA benefits from the MIC in 2004 which would've overwhelmingly favored Bush even though Lieberman was a hawk.
