Who was the better Governor of Texas: John Connally or George W Bush

I say Bush given his successes in education reform, in making Texas more business friendly , and tort reform as well

Not to "hand it" to Dubya, but Connally was an incredibly corrupt and opportunistic asshole so I guess Bush was less bad in Texas?

Did Dubya commit war crimes while he was Governor of TX? That seems unlikely to me.

Also, if Connally had ever become President he would've absolutely gotten us into an illegal war/killed a lot of civilians with air strikes etc. But then again, most every US President ends up committing war crimes at some point, eh?

Bush was a good governor and a terrible president. Connally was an OK governor. Inclined to vote for Connally on balance.

I mean, if we're honest, most US presidents would deserve to have been tried at The Hague. That includes the ones who did good things too.
