A D66 / CU swing voter?   Might be a bit unique!   One might find common ground on a number of issues, but the difference between them on EU and esp. secularism & cultural liberalism means they are generally seen as opponents.  It's impressive they finally managed to both join the government with VVD and CDA; initially D66 refused to join if CU was involved.

I might have considered voting CDA in very close elections to prevent PvdA from becoming the first party but in the end I would have voted VVD anyway because there always is the threat of a horrific CDA-PvdA swamp government. Anyway, they're both irrelevant now. The great victory of Dutch neoliberalism .

Will vote for the CU/SGP joint list for as long as Guy Verhofstadt remains ALDE leader. Voted against the intelligence services act because I like my privacy. Voted for the association agreement with Ukraine to annoy Russia (true story). I think I would have voted in favour of the European Constitution act now, but I'm still not sure.

Rare, but not unheard of. Know a few people like this. Generally mildly religious people who resent the polarization in the country, who think Wilders is the biggest threat to the country, and who care about green stuff as well as what they view as a "humane" asylum policy.
