I've been reading up on some of these "Rising Stars" that the Republicans have primed for victory in these pickup seats in 2022... some of these people are very rabid in their social views... this makes the Tea Party Class of 2010 look like moderates (and some of them actually were by 2020).  Perhaps its just to win these competitive Trumpy primaries, but I do believe that more of the incoming GOP "freshpeople" are going to sound a lot more like Marjorie than the McC's (McCarthy and McConnell).

What else are they going to run on, their extremely unpopular economic platform?

Isn't it funny though that they've been wanting to overturn Roe for so long and yet never focus on passing a Human Life Amendment to the Constitution when they achieve trifectas like in 2017?  What are they afraid of?  Or is it possible they just don't have the votes?

I Wonder why Biden has a 40% approval on the economy. Maybe that's why Dems are running on Jan 6th was bad and Jim Crow 2.0 is happening with... extended early voting. What else are they going to run on? Their extremely unpopular economic platform?

Can somebody explain what the "rabid" social views of the incoming GOP class are other than "they questioned the 2020 election results" or "they're a loyal Trumpist"? Have the Republicans actually gotten more extreme in their social views over the last 10 years? Have the Republicans gotten more anti-gay? More pro-drug war? Or has the Overton window moved so far left that opposing CRT in schools is now more right-wing than being against gay marriage was 10 years ago?

Republicans have moved very far to the left on all social issues except immigration.
Democrats for some reason now think that "loyalty to Trump = far right".

No the Overton window has moved so much to the right that teaching that slavery wasn’t a problem and white people should feel good about it has essentially become the central platform of a political party.

Also though, as one of those gay people I can tell you that a GOP Congress would absolutely do everything it can to legalize discrimination against us, legislate who can pee where, and deny young people who want them medical treatment.

I don’t get what’s so hard to understand about the Republicans and conservatism. Their whole point is that the past and it’s ruthless, hierarchical culture is somehow preferable to progress, literally the only thing that has advanced the human species. And accordingly they have invented an entire cinematic universe of conspiracy theories and alternative facts to justify their Sisyphean effort to go backwards in time (because all they ever do when they are in power is cut their donors taxes anyway).

Duh. Claiming that the left is "radical" and "dangerous" is what they've always done.

Oh please, conservatives have NEVER supported gay marriage and you know it.  Conservatives NEVER believed that homosexuality was not a sin or a disease you can catch!

You're right.  Loyalty to a man that is a traitor to the Republic doesn't equal far right.

It equals treason.

Many, like yourself, have taken to praising white nationalists or endorsing white nationalism itself.
A good person who will predictably get lots of hate because the liberals on this forum can't tolerate dissent.

How stupid do you have to be to think that anyone is calling slavery a good thing?

Also, your "them" above is grammatically incorrect, and should at the least be replaced by a their or preferably removed.
