Triple reigning Australian champion Novak Djokovic has been denied entry into the country:

I don't share that individual's opinion. I feel like he is being treated unfairly because he is Serbian, a fairly unpopular ethnic group in Australia following their ethnic cleansing practices of the 1990's.

But that is not Novak's fault.

The guy is a sportsman and Tennis Australia did his entry paperwork, so this will make Victoria look stupid if he gets expelled.

Tennis Australia did not check with the Federsl Govt and trusted Victorian Govt advice.

Novak will become the first defending champion to lose the title after missing just two shots.

Although Tennis Australia denies misleading athletes, if Novak Djokovic is subject to a deportation order on Monday, then evidently, they did.

Former Australian Open director, Paul McNamee said of the situation:

The COVID rules with Omicron are changing so rapidly in Australia that his case will be irrelevant in 3 months time for future sports people.

Novak Djokovic (World #1 Tennis Player) and
James Allsop (Chief Justice of Australian Federal Supreme Court) are locked in a tiebreaker in the 5th set.

Chief Justice' rulings cannot be appealed, so we will get a result to this match tonight.
