Well today I start the new way to do Spain for the purposes of this thread! Since unlike last year I don't expect any big changes to my living situation, here is my plan:

-Municipalities of the Canary Islands
-Districts of Madrid city
-Municipalities of Madrid province
-If I end up doing some sort of road trip or anything across mainland Spain I'll just go with provinces since counties are very irregular.

And so, here we go! Nothing interesting so far sadly, just my home. As always red = been to, blue = drove or took a bus through (I however won't be counting the subway once I'm in Madrid)

Surprisingly, in just a couple of weeks I've already visited half of Madrid's districts! And it is very likely I will end up visiting Salamanca district relatively soon. Though to be fair the remaining districts are going to be much tougher to tick out of the list unless I make a deliberate effort to do so.

The Canary Islands map should have a drive-through for Telde as I had to go to the airport, but I am excluding trips to and from the airport for this. I do expect to tick off more municipalities when I get back home though. (as a bonus, if I did districts of my home town; I'd have ticked off 3/5 districts, with District 3 (Puerto-Canteras) and District 4 (Ciudad Alta) being the ones left out).

A trip to the Sierra I made today means I can add a bunch of municipalities and also add the 3rd map in the series I planned.

I also get to add 1 extra district in Madrid but surprisingly it isn't the one I thought would go first (Salamanca) but rather Fuencarral-El Pardo.

Well quite a lot to unpack here. First of all, a trip I made back home to visit family and friends means I get to add 2 suburban-ish municipalities, even if one is only as a drive through.

In Madrid a trip to Alcalá de Henares and another one to Aranjuez means I get to add plenty of municipalities as drive throughs. 2 trips into the suburbs also mean I get to add 2 suburban municipalities as well. The trip to Aranjuez also allows me to break out the 4th and final map I'll need, as the train technically goes into Toledo province for a small part of the trip.

Finally, in Madrid city proper since I went by train and bus for those trips I get to add a handful of places. 2 new districts as visits thanks to a walk in a park in further out places. I also add another district from a visit to a friend's house.

Ok, it's time for an update. Not much to update though. I've added 3 more districts of Madrid city (one of which is an upgrade from a drive-through to a proper visit), as well as upgrading one to a drive-through (I'd already gone through it but I had forgot the train line went through it). Interestingly this means there are only 3 districts left to visit, though these might be quite tough to tick off unless I go out of my way deliberately. All 3 have nice parks so maybe that's one way to tick them off if I want but other than that can't think of any reason why I'd go to any of them

A trip into a mall in the wealthy western suburbs also allowed me to tick off 2 extra municipalities as drive-throughs and upgrade Las Rozas to a proper visit.

I'll be going to Málaga for a trip relatively soon, so that will allow me to tick off many places on the Spain map. Presumably I'll tick off Ciudad Real as well as a couple Andalusian provinces.

Well the expected update is here; basically just combining the trip I did on Easter to visit family and friends (which was very underwhelming, only adding a visit to the south of the island for a beach day and a visit to the village a friend has a house in); as well as my trip to Malaga which indeed allowed me to tick off multiple provinces, albeit most as drive-throughs.

No updates regarding Madrid though. Haven't visited the few remaining districts I had left, nor have I visited any new municipalities. Not even the trip to Malaga helps as it takes the same route as my visit to Aranjuez (just on the highway instead of on a train)
