The 1812 campaign in Russia is widely seen as the beginning of the end(if you don't count the Peninsular War) of Napoleon and his empire. Although the French technically never lost a major battle in the Russian campaign, the French suffered a godly amount of casualties, as well as a tremendous loss of resources and morale. Their enemies started to gain major confidence boosts and started to prowl on France after the war, as well as their allies starting to abandon them. We probably know what happens next. Although the hellish Russian climate, the ravaging diseases, Russia's size, the Russian resistance + never give up attitude, extremely subpar supply chains that were prone to ambushes, solid-enough Russian Generals, etc, etc, etc were extremely different challenges to overcome, what happens if Napoleon is successful? He successfully subjugates Russia and forces them to remain in the Continental System. Would he successfully tire out the British? Would he eventually still lose due to attrition? Would Prussia, Austria, or Sweden still declare war on the French? Would the Peninsular War get better for the French? What would be different?
