Florida has been projected for Al Gore. Bush still has a path to 270 but this early loss cannot be encouraging for him.

Gore has now won Michigan and Pennsylvania. To put it simply Bush HAS TO WIN
Ohio Tennessee Wisconsin Missouri
Has to win both Oregon and Iowa if he wants to avoid a tie and then he can only lose one of the following:
Nevada New Mexico Arkansas West Virginia New Hampshire
Safe to say, the odds aren't looking good for Bush. I'd estimate Gore probably has close to a 90% chance of winning at this point.

Bush has won both Ohio and Tennessee. Both of these were critical for him and he got them. He still has a tough road ahead. He has to sweep the south, win Wisconsin, win Nevada, win New Mexico and has to win both Iowa and Oregon to avoid a 269-269 tie.

STOP THE PRESSES! FLORIDA HAS BEEN RETRACTED FROM KERRY!
This is a huge development. This opens the pathway back up for Bush. Now he can lose a few of the smaller swing states assuming he wins Florida. Bush has also been projected the winner in New Hampshire, possible that it could make a big difference in an election as close as this.

It's starting to become fairly obvious that Florida will decide the election. With Gore's win in Iowa, he's up to 249 electoral votes and Bush is up to 246. If Gore wins, he'll get at least 274 and if Bush wins he gets at least 271.

Well, After 35 long days, Gore has acknowledged that he has lost to Bush by 537 votes in Florida. Bush will win with one of the closest electoral vote margins in US history with him winning 271 electoral votes and Gore will win 267. Bush has also become the first presidential hopeful in 112 years to win the electoral college while losing the popular vote. Whether you supported Gore, Bush or even Nader during this particular election, we must wish well for Bush and hope he has a good four (possibly eight) years in office!
