Since 1998: PT
2022: In a Lula vs Bolsonaro election, it would depend on Lula's stance on Covid

2018: left-wing (maybe PSOL) 1st round, Fernando Haddad 2nd round
2022: probably Lula, but at the end anyone is better than bolsonaro, even hillary, joe, trump, putin, xi and kim jong un. And Lula is better than anyone named in this post.

I'm just gonna spam Lula.

With a pause for Rousseff, then stay out of 2018,...and back to Lula.

Weird to think that we’re currently living the 2nd and the longest democratic period nowadays compared to all history. Anyway, this is how I would pick:

~Portuguese Colony between 1500-1822~

~Monarchical Empire between 1822-1889~

~Oligarchical Republic controlled by São Paulo and Minas Gerais elites between 1889-1930~

~Estado Novo led by Getúlio Vargas between 1930-1945~

1945: Yedo Fiúza

1950: Getúlio Vargas (WINNER)

1955: Juscelino Kubitscheck (WINNER)

1960: Henrique Teixeira Lott

~Military Dictatorship between 1964-1985~

1989: Leonel Brizola on 1st round; Lula on the runoff

1994: FHC (WINNER)

1998: Ciro Gomes

2002: Lula on both rounds (WINNER)

2006: Lula on both rounds (WINNER)

2010: Dilma on both rounds (WINNER)

2014: Dilma on both rounds (WINNER)

2018: Ciro Gomes on 1st round; Haddad on the runoff

2022: Likely Lula (TBA), in order to end it sooner. But I really wanted Ciro for his proposals.
