He lied about a cabin...I don't really know the details, but it didn't sound good.

That cabin of his was nothing more than a toolshed with a hottub. Pretty shabby.

Rowland was admittedly sleazy--anyone who runs for office before age 30 has ethics issues. Using the Clinton metric, however, Rowland's sleaze means nothing in the light of fixing up U of Conn and vetoing stupid tax hikes from the state legislature.

As a Connecticut resident, I have to say that Rowland shouldn't have had to resign, because like Clinton, he did something wrong but it wan't enough to justify a threat of impeachment. I used to know the details of what he did but I've forgotten them now.

John Rowland was a great Governor for 10 years. He was very low key, I'm a Democrat but he never did anything that pissed me off. I voted for his opponent in '02, but that was party loyalty only. Everyone loves his replacement Jodi Rell, but she hasn't done a damn thing and yet has approval ratings of 70%!

Its sad how the Connecticut Republicans greatly benefited from him for a decade and then they just abandon him and don't look back.
