One of the biggest debates of all time, but who do you think should own the means of production and economy?

Not being a socialist or a communist, I would have to say private individuals/entrepreneurs.

Private individuals, or private individuals as shareholders (publicly traded companies), or private individuals as workers (worker owned cooperatives), or private individuals as consumers (consumer cooperatives) are all forms of private enterprise.

The question is moot.

Land: Nominally private, though state ownership of utilities and energy might be prudent given the tendency to form natural monopolies.
Labor: The workers, via trade unions.
Capital: Items listed as assets on the balance sheet are privately owned, however the trade union should mostly handle human capital (e.g. operations, project planning, occupational skills, training, certification). HR is an exception as anecdotally neutral arbitration tends between the owner class and labor tends to produce the most optimal outcomes, am open to other suggestions tho.
Entrepreneurship (or profit): Germanic model of Codetermination. Shareholders, partners, or the owner(s) may claim a profit off the productivity of their business, however labor representation on the board of directors is in order for large corporations to properly represent workers' interests. Likewise wage laborers deserve stock grants as to both reward their share of equity in the company and increase employee retention.

Obviously private investors, but with enough taxation and in-kind social obligations to eliminate extreme poverty where they are operating.

Ideally the workers, though in practice I would be fine with private ownership on a limited scale when it comes to certain small businesses. Rentiership however, should be plainly abolished and the land held in common by all the people, and most major industries should be nationalized and subject to democratic input.

Some small scale, mainly artisanal work can remain private—but most should be owned by the workers managed through a representative command economy.

Marx didn't really like the phrasing that under socialism the workers own the Means Of Production. He felt that ownership as a social construct would disappear entirely with capitalism, and thus this phrasing can at best simply suggest what will eventually exist.

A mixed system in which the first three options are all allowed and practiced at the same time.

Therefore I voted "Other".

This in the short run, although eventually I would be in support of gradually phasing out all capitalist-owned enterprises toward some form of worker ownership eventually. How to get that done without messing up the economy is the big question, though (I'm partial to something along the lines of the Meidner Plan, but it's hard to say since it was never really implemented).

This, and it's an unpleasant surprise that some 45% (a solid minority) have not voted for options 1 or 2.

For now, whoever or whatever is fit for the task of dismantling growth ideology and the unsustainable exploitation of resources. After that, whoever operates the means of production, in a horizontal, democratic, rhizomatic anti-hierarchical organization.

New technology that enables every individual/household to own their own means of production and live self-sufficiently yet in a high-tech, healthy, safe, plentiful, leisurely, private, free way, would be the ideal.
