Do you have any phobias?  Are you afraid of something, such as spiders, snakes, cats, humans, small spaces, etc.?

I have orthopterophobia.  Grasshoppers are horrifying creatures.

I also have a fear of heights, to an extant.  I'm okay looking out the window of a high floor, or of an airplane, since I know I'm safely in.  Looking down over a railing from up high can make me nervous, especially if the railing isn't tall enough.

Fire has also always made me uncomfortable.

A lot of conservatives on here suffer from homophobia/transphobia.
I myself suffer from mild bouts of transphobia on occasion, as Trans Rights Are Human Rights will attest to.

In all seriousness, though, probably, but none immediately pop to mind. There are so many of them it'd be hard not to be afflicted with some minor phobia or the other.

Also, how do you survive if you're afraid of humans?

Same here but I think everyone's scared of fire.

Shots/needles, and getting stuck in traffic on a bridge (that feeling that there's no escape should something happen, walking over one is fine)

Also heights if there's no railing, but that might be an OCD/safety thing.

Needles, public speaking, and mushrooms are probably the top ones

What's it called when you fear losing your democracy to a coup of fascists who want to install a dementedly moronic and narcissistic authoritarian wannabe? Because that's what I have and that's my greatest fear.

I'm also afraid of heights and terrified of snakes. I think I have a social phobia as well because I genuinely do not like being around large groups of people and public speaking is a nightmare come true for me. (That's partly why I opted to take a Spanish 101 class in college and not a public speaking course to fulfill that requirement for my degree.)

I don't like being high above the ground, but I don't think that's a phobia, that is common sense.  I've flown (solo even) and I've been in tall buildings, but I don't like any of it.

I'm not a fan of water and think it's kind of a dumb place to do sport and recreation, but I can swim and spent a lot of time in pools, some in lakes/rivers and a decent amount of time in oceans.

I don't like bugs/spiders, but as an American male, I don't have the luxury of maintaining that fear because American woman can't even cope with them.  So I have to feel that horrible crush of them inside a tissue when I kill them ("stop killing them on the walls, they leave marks").

That's all standard crap, my weird one is being asked to repeat a question.  I stuttered when I was little, but the only time as an adult I do it is when asked to repeat a question.  Especially on the phone.  "wh wh wha"s and "how how how"s are bad, but even "do do do do"s get me sometimes.  If I sense one coming I have tricks I can do to avoid them, but I don't do it all the time, pretty rarely actually, so sometimes they sneak up on me.

are you worried about teh loud noise they make when they pop?  That was my problem with balloons when I was little.  That game they always make kids play when you sit on a balloon to pop it, that was torture to me.  I want to win, I don't want to let my teammates down....but there is NO way I'm popping this balloon with my butt.

Wouldn't say phobia, though I never liked too crowded places or stores full of people, long before the pandemic and not related to fears of any diseases. I just have a tendency to walk relatively fast and can't stand it when others are in the way all the time.

I always try to go to the supermarket and stores outside traditional hours when it's packed.

Only exception are concerts.

Mushrooms.

I'm not totally certain why. What I can say for sure is that one spring - probably either 2008 or 2009 - it rained a lot where I lived at the time, and mushrooms started popping up everywhere. At first I was fascinated, but somehow after a while that fascination turned into extreme fear. I'm not sure why.

Interesting, same here.

I remember during my childhood my uncle and aunt often playing games with guests at birthday parties and one of them was with balloons. The loud boom always made me anxious since you never knew when exactly it was happening.

I think it's interesting how narrow some phobias can be. Like, I have a fear of needles, and don't like shots, IVs, or even having my finger pricked for a blood sample. But at the same time, I don't think I have any phobia of getting a tattoo (although I've never gotten one, so who knows). Same thing with heights. I have no interest whatsoever in sky diving or bungee jumping, but I'd have no problem paragliding, and love going out on high bridges, ledges, and rooftops. Really, it's more a fear of free-falling than a fear of heights.

Oh, and I hate hate hate large fold-out wooden tables, but that's not a phobia. That's from when I got my finger stuck in one, had all the skin pinched off of the end, and was in excruciating pain for hours. I think I've earned that fear and don't consider it irrational.
