I did not fully realize just how much of a rotten bunch this was until seeing the list in this thread. John Quincy Adams I guess.

Obviously one of the early abolitionist ones; I voted for van Buren over JQA because, as a non-native English-speaking American, I've always found the fact that van Buren was the only non-native-speaking President to be kind of charming. On more than a split second's reflection, JQA was probably the overall better man, though.

Voted Bush. Although honorable mentions to the elder Adams and Van Buren.

Lot's of folks are saying JQA (it's who I voted for tbf), but I think Taft deserves a bone here. All in all, far better than his historical reputation suggests!

I guess I'll go for regular old John Adams. His presidency was awful but I do have mad respect for his Founding Fatherhood.

John Quincy Adams... followed by a large gap with Carter, Ford, and Bush 41. The rest are quite negative or I don't know as much about.

JQ Adams. Runner up is Bush but his free trade pro China position is aging really badly.

Jimmy Carter is my favorite post-WWII president. Period, full stop. Aside from the Iran hostage crisis, 1980 was one of the stupidest election outcomes in modern history.

Agreed. Reagan was the beginning of the end of American greatness.

What a unique choice. May I inquire why?
