As Snowe appears to appeal to a majority of Maine's Democrats she would hopefully consider switching alongside her colleagues Susan Collins and Arlen Specter if the Democrats takeover the Senate.

I wouldn't mind if Chuck Hagel switched either.

I seriously doubt any of them will switch.

I would never vote for someone who would vote for McConnell to be Senate Majority leader.

For some reason I would like to see Hagel switch even though he is a hardcore conservative. I just like the guy. I doubt he would though.

I don't think Hagel would switch.  For some reason I just get the sense Specter would.  Of course I have nothing to back this up with but I think he's getting on in years and might be forced to stand down in 2010; thats why I feel he might just go with the Democrats to enjoy his last years in the majority and to spite Bush and his conservative Republican critics.  I don't know about Snowe and Collins, just a theory; the latter could be gone by 2009 anyway.

Even if Hagel or Spector switched, they would still vote republican on taxes or judicial nominees, so it wouldn't make that much difference anyway.
