This would be a surefire way to depress Democratic base turnout. I would vote for the D ticket, but I would certainly not promote these candidates among people I know.

Perhaps this is the best way to lead to a blowout since 1988.

Trump wins in a landslide, the Green Party wins something like 20% of the PV and probably wins VT/MA.

When given the choice between Republican and Republican-lite, voters will choose the actual Republican every time. Trump by a mile.

I would vote for Trump easily but if the ticket were reversed I would have to give it some thought. If the ticket were Manchin for President and someone like Feingold, Baldwin, Kaptur, or Sherrod Brown as his running mate it would be a very tough choice for me.

Manchin is thinking about retirement in 24 since it's gonna be an easy R pickup, he's not running for Prez, Manchin is simply the same as Doug Jones of 2020

You may be right, though I do hope that Manchin hangs on. Manchin should probably run just for the h#ll of it. Run a local campaign and totally disconnect himself from national party figures since the Democratic party is toxic in WV. Reject or accept very little out-of-state money so he can run as a true candidate of WV and if he did that he could attack the R for accepting out-of-state money which would likely happen. He would probably be outspent badly but at least Ds wouldn't be wasting money on his race if he loses like they did in KY and SC in 2020.

Abstain.

I dunno, I might even tactically take another 4 years of Trump, if that leads to downballot Dem gains and a progressive trifecta in 2028.

It's Manchin and Sinema and Feinstein choice not to rid the Filibuster, there is word that Feinstein is coaching Sinema not to rid the Filibuster because of retribution from RS if the DS are in Minority, lol when have RS listened to DS when we're in the Minority it

They're blocking VR reform

Manchin was SOS of WV when he ran after Byrd died, lol he should carve out for Filibuster reform

Manchin and Sinema power ends 1/2/23 a new Congress hopefully a D Trifecta is sworn in

The Sinema/Manchin ticket would win maybe 10 seats in a shockingly close election, owing it's ability to avoid Mondale margins to polarization

That actually doesn't sound that outlandish to me. Maybe HI goes Green too?

I could honestly see a third party winning a state or two in this scenario.
