My case was best put into words by Truman himself: My evangelism of the works of April Daniels has established the Nemesis trilogy (of which only two entries have been released, the aforementioned Dreadnought and Sovereign) as "great works of Western literature", and I think Frémont should treat them as such. I co-wrote this bill with Falterin, and I'm sure he would agree with me if I wasn't so impatient that I felt the need to both propose and advocate for the bill on his behalf.

And also, a sh**tpost:

From what I understand, Dreadnought features a young Frémonter trans protagonist who saves the world from the (presumably Eastern) evildoers. It is an important patriotic text and an allegory for our current political situation. Every Frémonter should read it and pass it on to their children to read. As such, I will support this bill.
Spoiler alert: Kind of a spoiler for Sovereign but also not really, but if Falterin doesn't want to be spoiled, here it is

One more thing:
Quote
AN ACT
To honor a literary icon

Be it enacted by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Frémont assembled,
Quote
Section 1. Title

This legislation may be cited as the Dreadnought Day Act.

Section 2. Establishment of Federal Regional Holiday

1. In honor of the 5th anniversary of its initial printing, Monday, the twenty-fourth of January, two thousand and twenty-two, is hereby designated "Dreadnought Day", to be celebrated across Frémont.
2. Dreadnought Day is established as a full regional holiday for the Commonwealth of Frémont, and will continued to be celebrated as such annually on the twenty-fourth of January.
3. Annual festivities to honor Dreadnought will take place in Denver and Seattle.
4. The works Dreadnought and Sovereign are to be preserved by the regional government for safekeeping and to pass on to future generations.
5. April Daniels is recognized as a significant cultural contributor to the region.
I just noticed it was called a federal holiday when it's a regional holiday. Sorry for backseat legislating, but I just thought that should've been fixed.
