11/7/20- 12:00 AM Trump is in his VA golf club making an extremely rare presidential statement especially in his waning months as a first term president and even more given how awful 2020 was for him and the country . "Biden is leading Pennsylvania narrowly and I have no words but to say I this, If the media calls PA for Biden, I would grab the phone and congratulate him."

Interesting.  Republicans almost surely win the Georgia runoffs and hold the senate.  Much less stimulus passes, which hurts Biden at first but means inflation is lower now so his approval never collapses.

His conceding that Saturday or shortly thereafter could have made a tremendous turnaround in today's overall situation.  Definitely a Republican Senate and Democratic House .    And likely 1/6 in a much less toxic atmosphere (if at all).

1/6 occurred largely because Trump himself refused to admit defeat. If he did, there would only be a few disgruntled voters who'd still think he won (most Republicans who are in the Sedition Caucus wouldn't be in it), so there wouldn't be enough momentum for anything beyond a pathetic protest that gets quashed quickly.

The rest of the pre 1/6 timeline goes on as normal without the lawsuits, Texas V Pennsylvania, Trump makes a even rarer presidential message that a COVID vaccine has arrived, but still downplays the effects of the virus.
