To be fair, Hillary did win the nationwide popular vote.
Moreover, if Iowa had held a primary instead of an undemocratic caucus, she would have won that contest, too. Bear in mind that Obama's fanbase mostly consisted of college students and unemployed people, who had enough free-time to act as a caucus-goer, whereas Hillary's electorate contained the majority of blue- and gray-collar workers, who can't just so take a day off for a public event which you have to attend personally
