On votes counted so far, Social Democrats are up 8.7 points in the city of Göteborg. Wow.

The traditional evolution of the vote count points to a relatively comfortable win for the left, especially considering the leftward trend ind Stockholm.

Kristersson is absolutely getting canned if he loses this. The Reinfeldt liberal wing was already pissed about M's poor performance in 2018 and 2019, now they are absolutely bringing out the knives for him after losing an additional 3-4% and entertaining SD

SAP still gaining votes in its eighth year in power. Pretty impressive.

Somewhat amateur psephology, but at a time of instability and uncertainty there is a tendancy for people to look for the relative comfort and security of the "natural party of government". And in Sweden that happens to be SAP.

Another aspect is that the party leadership switch simply turned out to be a success. Andersson's approvals were sky high throughout the campaign. Based on these figures alone I always thought the left bloc were going to win.

Other than that, I just think this election was decided on issue ownership, with the issue of gang violence being in the forefront helping SD vis-a-vis other right bloc parties.

From SVT's Valu exit poll, the votes of people with non-European background. I'm not sure how exactly it's defined, but I caught something about "1.2 million voters".

Henrik Ekengren Oscarsson, the polling expert on SVT's election night, is currently predicting that turnout will end up around 83%. Which would be a drop from the 87% seen in 2018.

The Right wing bloc is gaining some ground but the rate of improvement is not enough.  Unless something changes about the count momentum the Center-Left bloc should have a narrow victory.

Still a lot of urban vote is still out.

There's a decent sized Other vote in Stockholm's immigrant neighborhoods, does anyone know what these parties are?

This site is better for results since it shows percentage changes down to the most granular level.

It's Nyans, the new DENK-like Muslim party.

The difference between blocs is down to 0,2%. The left will need the urban #trends to be real.

Hard to see them ever breaking past the threshold. This could result in a non-neglible waste of votes for the left.

L has been gaining throughout the night.  It seems they should pass the 4% with no problems.

Right-wing bloc takes the lead.  I guess this will reverse itself as more urban votes comes in.

I wonder how much of V's underperformance is strategic votes for Mp, because Mp is performing super well compared to their polling about a month ago

The vote of the right wing bloc has steadily been increasing for some time and they now have a 0,3% lead.

Is there any difference in what areas have been counted - i.e., more right- or left-wing strongholds remaining?
