No, Mr Brooks, I am not an opportunist. Opportunism my bleep! @DoyleBrooksForCongress refused to sign the anti-negative campaigning agreement, because he cannot win without viciously slandering his opponents. Get out to vote to prove Doyle Brooks wrong!
Doyle Brooks @DoyleBrooksForCongress

And we can add hypocrisy to the list too! How dare you lecture me on slanders given that your ally Heather Cooper brought our District into national news and that both you and her have based your campaigns solely upon that. Unlike both of you, I actually have something to offer myself, and all of my attacks have only been in response to you spreading lies about me. And speaking about you and lies, I will ask once again, do you admit to lying when you told the people that I believe in QAnon and that I think President Trump won 410 electoral votes?

@DoyleBrooks, even if you don't believe the 410 map, you could have been a true patriot and quit OANN when you found out they aired it. But you didn't. That is a sign you will be pushed around by the elites in Washington. Meanwhile, you act like I am a part of the establishment when I am self-funded.

Donald Trump endorses Doyle Brooks for Congress

Statement from the Office of the 45th President of the United States

Doyle Brooks has been a reliable voice for the MAGA movement, he has been with us from the start and always fought hard against the fake news media. He knows that the 2020 election was stolen and in Congress, he will not cater to RINOs, to Sleepy Joe, or the socialists! He will support us in our struggle against wokers and far-left radicals! He is the only choice for Representative of Oregon 6th! Doyle has my complete and total endorsement!

As Mr Scott remarked, you have no reason to work with AON if they are spreading what you know to be lies, if they are spreading conspriacy theories you don't believe in. Clearly you care more about making money than you having basic principles of honesty  and integrity. In Washington, too, I can see you abandoning your principles and doing whatever's politically convenient. Besides, the 410 electoral vote comment might be an exaggeration, but you still support baseless claims that Donald Trump won in 2020. That is also completely false.

FINAL POINT - AD AIRED IN EUGENE MARKET:

"Next year, all Republicans will have a choice on who to vote for in the Republican primary for Oregon's 6th congressional district, a beautiful districts centred on the city of Salem [images of scenery in Salem and OR-06]. The district is crucial and a Republican win here will be crucial to our winning Congress, so we can stop the disastrous Biden agenda [images of the House, Joe Biden and the Afghanistan withdrawal flash one by one]. Therefore, there's only one true choice for this distict: State Representative Heather Cooper [image of Cooper]. She was born right here in this district, in Salem [image of Cooper's birthplace], and was taught the importance of conservative, family values [1990s image of Cooper and her family eating dinner togather] and public service [image of the Cooper family volunteering in the 1990s]. She was taught what it means to be an American, and to serve your hometown, state and country . So Heather, keeping those lessons in mind, launched a campaign for the Oregon House of Representatives, from the Salem-centrict 19th district, in 2016 [images: first of the Oregon State Capitol; then a map of the 19th]. It was an uphill fight, but she won [image of victory speech]. Since then, every day, Representative Cooper has served the people of Salem, and the people of the 19th district, fighting for her constituents and voting for bills that will help them and against bills that will hurt them [images of Cooper in the OR House]. And in the last five years, the lives of her constituents have markedly improved [image of Cooper hosting a town hall with pleased constituents, circa 2018]. Here's what those constituents have to say: [caption: Bob, age 49, father and war veteran] 'Miss Cooper's been a great representative, fighting for us and our values and fighting for lower taxes. She's fought for veterans like me. My wife and I have proudly voted for her in 2016, 2018 and 2020, and we'll vote for her again next year.' [caption: Annette, 65, proud grandmother of five] 'Representative Cooper has fought for senior citizens like myself. She's worked across the aisle, worked to bring healthcare for me. She is a true public servant.' [caption: Tobias, age 25, volunteer and activist] 'Heather Cooper got me interested in politics, in public service. I volunteered for her campaign in 2016, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made, because Heather taught me the value of public service, and she has fought for me, my family and everyone else in this district.' [cuts away from images of Bob, Annette and Tobias and returns to original voiceover] You've heard it from the people she's served, folks: Heather Cooper will fight for you every single day, no matter what it takes. Vote Heather Cooper on the day of the primary so we can win this race. [cuts to Heather Cooper's voice] I'm Heather Cooper, and I approve this message."

December 7, 2021 (Tuesday): Yuri Testikov airs a cryptic television ad for his long-shot candidacy for the Democratic nomination in Oregon's 6th Congressional District, on stations licensed to Portland and Eugene.

A line of oil pumpjacks is seen operating in front of a bold orange sunrise. Distorted aircraft sounds are heard in the background. After about twenty seconds, the footage suddenly cuts to black, replaced shortly thereafter by the following text on a pitch black background:

EXCERPTS FROM COOPER RALLY IN SALEM, DECEMBER 8:

"...And you know, I've run a fact-based campaign that's really just sought to educate the voters of this district, to tell them the truth about the candidates running in the Republican primary...Dale Scott and I, we actually signed an anti-negative campaign pact, and we are no longer running negative ads. Instead, we've sought to shed light on Doyle Brooks, who is frankly too radical to be elected and too radical to be representative of this district...We also attacked Ted Miller, a radical of another kind who'd like all drugs legalized - a radical postion, a completely radical and extremist stance even the Squad wouldn't take - and I attacked him on that separately as well, because that's something that really needs to be addressed, and it's something he isn't addressing...And I mentioned in a couple of my ads that he was gay. Now I don't think there's anything wrong with being gay, but it's a fact and it's a fact some voters might, understandably, be a bit uncomfortable with...So I mentioned it, because it's a fact about Mr Miller and I'm all for facts...But you know what? You know who isn't for facts? The left-wing mainstream media. They attacked me as a 'homophobe,' which I simply am not. I'm not sure if this was just a ploy to attack conservative voices and hide the truth, or if it's because they sympathize with Mr Miller's views...But this left-wing media, it's one of the things I will fight, when I get elected...We will rise up and stop the censorship and stop the lies and stop the left-wing media when we're elected! This is part of a larger pattern, a pattern of the media being left-wing...They've attacked Donald Trump, they've attacked respected figures such as Colin Powell, and they've glorified figures like Barack Obama. But we will fight for truth, and we will fight the far-left, the mainstream left-wing media when I'm in office, I'll tell you that, and I hope you'll support me!"

ENDORSEMENT MEETINGS:

December 1: Rep. Cooper meets with Senate Minority Leader Tim Knopp (R-Bend) to discuss an endorsement. She talks about conservative issues and the type of campaign she will run after winning the nomination, and how she will collaborate with him on it and take his advice.
December 4: Rep. Cooper meets with Representative Rick Lewis (R-Silverton) to discuss an endorsement. She discusses how endorsing Dale Scott would be bad optics since he claims to be a resident of Silverton despite working elsewhere, how Ted Miller and Doyle Brooks are not good candidates.
December 7: Rep. Cooper meets with Senator Kim Thatcher (R-Keizer) to discuss an endorsement. She discusses the need for more female conservatives in office.

"I recently met with three very important members, leaders even, of the Oregon Republican party: Senate Minority Leader Tim Knopp, of the city of Bend, Representative Rick Lewis of the great Silverton, and Senator Kim Thatcher of the great Keizer, to discuss a potential endorsement, as well as important issues and what kind of campaign we need to run to win this seat next November. All three of them have advanced a conservative, common sense agenda that would help the people of this district and state, and I sincerely hope all three of them will help me in my fight to bring that agenda to DC in 2023."

Doyle Brooks ad - "Trump's choice", running in the Portland media market (2 points)

President Donald Trump always endorses strong, patriotic conservatives ready to fight for the MAGA movement in Congress. It is thus to no surprise that he chose to endorse Doyle Brooks. Doyle Brooks has been with Donald Trump since the very beginning, defending him from the smears of the mainstream media and being the only candidate to acknowledge the fraud which took place in 2020. In Congress he will fight for the values of real America, and won't be ashamed to stand up for Republicanism. Doyle Brooks - Donald Trump's choice for Congress.

Tom Ryder's key issues

-Poverty. 13.4% of our nation lives below the poverty line, and 21% of Oregonians are forced to rely on food stamps. This is unacceptable in the richest nation on the planet. No one should be living in poverty in the United States. I support rigorous anti-poverty measures, including reducing taxes for those in poverty, providing good-paying jobs, and expanding public housing to fight homelessness.

-Universal healthcare. It is past time our nation had healthcare for all, and the private sector is not meeting the demand for it. Everyone should be covered, regardless of whether or not they have enough to purchase private insurance.

-Climate change. The science is long settled; we have to reduce emissions and transition to renewable energy without delay. Oregon has been one of the leading states in this transition, but work continues. I support the Green New Deal as a way to provide jobs, grow our economy, and fight climate change.

-Fighting corruption. Corruption affects people's trust in government and degrades our country overall. I support the establishment of an Independent Commission Against Corruption to fight that influence at all levels of the federal government.

Quote from: Christine Jang, Salem meeting, December 8th, 2021
Unfortunately, many Democratic politicians have taken Latino voters for granted. Unemployment, poverty, and graduation rates among Latino Oregonians continue to lag behind the rest of the state. As your representative in DC, I would fight to change that. We need targeted investment in public schools, including technology grants, increased access to bilingual education, and funding for after-school programs. We need more hospitals and better healthcare in underserved areas. I would also sponsor legislation to improve workplace protections for farm workers who risk their lives toiling under record levels of heat.

Quote from: Christine Jang, Newport town hall, December 11th, 2021
Question: Would you support re-imposing COVID restrictions in light of the Omicron variant?
With the information we have right now, I would certainly not support this. The symptoms of the Omicron variant are mild, particularly if you're vaccinated. We currently have zero reported deaths from it. So I would strongly encourage vaccines and booster shots and typical flu season precautions to avoid getting infected.

Quote from: Christine Jang, Statesman Journal interview, December 13th, 2021
Question: What would you say your top three priorities are if you elected?
Well, as I said earlier, climate change and the environment have always been a deeply significant issue to me. But also, the effects of the pandemic have made clear the gross inequities in healthcare and education we face as a country. I feel that the negative effects of the pandemic on education have been a bit overshadowed by the obvious healthcare-related issues. I've talked to a lot of teachers who have told me about the many difficulties of remote learning, particularly for low-income students who may not have consistent internet access with parents that often have jobs where they can't work from home. If elected, I would definitely do my best to remedy these disparities in the education and healthcare systems.

Quote from: Christine Jang, Portland OLCV fundraiser, December 17th, 2021
I've spent my career working to keep Oregon green. As a member of the Oregon League of Conservation Voters, I have also contributed to signing petitions, organizing community outreach, and contacting members of the legislature. I met some of my best friends volunteering here when I'd just moved to Salem. Without OLCV, I probably wouldn't be running for public office today. With that, I'm proud to introduce my co-hosts Dianne Berry and Joe Larcher.

Quote from: Christine Jang, Salem fundraising dinner, December 22nd, 2021
I am a pragmatic progressive that will fight to defend President Biden's agenda in Congress. My experience working in the state government here in Salem will serve well in crafting informed, common-sense policies to keep our country on track.

Christine Jang's campaign also runs a television advertisement in the Portland and Eugene media markets that also appears on YouTube in both English and Spanish.

Quote from: Christine Jang campaign advertisement
*Jang stands in a public park in Salem with her husband and daughters throwing a Frisbee in the background*

"Hi, I'm Christine. Thirty years ago, I never would've guessed where I would be today."

*cuts to photos of Jang as a child with her parents, brother, and sister*

"My parents instilled in me the values of hard work and community. Not too long before, they had left Korea in search of a new life in the land of opportunity. It was a difficult start for them, but through years of perseverance they realized their dream, starting their own neighborhood store, getting involved in their church, and raising three children."

*cuts to videos of Jang walking in the mountains and along the coast and videos of her talking to people in various places in the district*

"When I first moved to Oregon 14 years ago, I was also in a new place with no prior connections. But I soon fell in love with the kind people and natural wonders of the Willamette Valley. As I came to call this place home, I realized that I wanted to give back to my community. I know many honest, hard-working people around me whose lives have been very tough. They have been left behind to struggle through no fault of their own, and they deserve much better. That's why I'm running to represent the people of Oregon in Congress."

"I'm Christine Jang, and I approve this message."

And just for kicks,

Quote from: Christine Jang campaign fundraising email
Hi Rachel,

We are in DIRE need of help! The Republicans are SURGING in the polls after the latest news. Christine Jang needs your support NOW to stop the homophobes and insurrectionists from taking over Congress!

Excerpt from Salem Rally

I am running for Congress in order to serve you, the people (audience cheers). Critical race theory is being forced on our kids. Don't get me wrong, I support teaching history, both good and bad, but we shouldn't be teaching a political ideology to our kids. Oregonians are forced to wear masks outdoors, which is simply ridiculous. Masks are helpful, yes, but we shouldn't be making anyone wear one. The vaccines are very beneficial, but we also shouldn't be mandating those. While I am vaccinated, when the Board at Nike decided to mandate vaccines, I was beyond angry. I penned a letter to the board trying to get them to undo this, but the board is run by the sorts of elites who have been ruining your lives the past 2 years.
