Dale Scott @DaleForOregon

@DoyleBrooksForCongress I have already stated that I regret my vote for Hillary. My religious conversion was purely religious. I was going to run for Congress anyway. As for Rep. Cooper, you have to meet someone to determine your opinion on them, after meeting Rep. Cooper, my opinion of her has gone up

Doyle Brooks @DoyleBrooksForCongress

Way to stand up for workers getting fired from their jobs because of health choices, writing a letter, I am sure they are really grateful! And that letter...did you write it before or after you decided to run for Congress?
Dale Scott @DaleForOregon

Before. Meanwhile you do nothing against mandates

Doyle Brooks @DoyleBrooksForCongress

OUCH. So when exactly did you decide to run for Congress?

I filed in November, but I made up my mind the day Nike introduced its vaccine mandate. I probably would have run anyway, but that sealed the deal

Doyle Brooks @DoyleBrooksForCongress

There are only 2 explanations in order for it to make sense - either you lied when you said you decided to run for Congress before your supposed conversion or you lied today when you said that you had not decided to run when you wrote the letter. You must think we are all stupid and believe your half-baked lies but the people have noticed, they know. After all, it was only last month when you ran ads in which you lied about me. I know you will deny it, but you are a liar, Mr. Scott, a pathological one, and the people deserve a better Representative than you.

Oh really? Could you please mention one time I ever lied? Unlike you, I have clear examples to back my statements...

Doyle Brooks @DoyleBrooksForCongress

I am the only candidate who truly opposes mask mandates, vaccine requirements, and socialist restrictions! The people have suffered enough! It is time for a return to normality to happen instead of being a lie used by the government to deceive us! My utmost priority as a US Representative will be to give the people of Oregon 6th their lives back!

Rep. Cooper: "Unlike your empty words, Mr Brooks, and your unfortunate habit of all words and no action, I actually have a record where I've done these things. I actually did fight mask mandates in the state house. I fought vaccine mandates. I fought to let the people of Salem have lower taxes and spend the money they earn themselves. Meanwhile, what did you do? That's right, you just claimed you were fighting for these things while doing absolutely nothing. You have no principles, Mr Brooks. You indicated you don't think that Trump won with 410 electoral votes, yet you worked for a company that trumpeted these lies. So you chose profit over the truth, over justice, over honesty. You didn't once criticize or question their conspiracy theory that Trump won with 410 electoral votes. You just abandoned whatever principles you might have had in the pursuit of profit. And I have a feeling this is exactly what you plan to do if elected (not that you will be, because the people of Oregon's 6th are too intelligent to support a lying, manipulative extremist such as yourself)."

"Well, in light of your recent statements, I would say that there is a reason why you are collapsing in the opinion polls. First of all, I fought for the principles I believed in from the position I was in. As a political commentator and not an elected official, my job was to express my beliefs and to offer another perspective to my viewers, a thing I believe I have done successfully. On the other hand, I would say that given that you have failed in all of your stated goals while in the statehouse, with Oregon having some of the highest taxes in the nation, with a mask mandate being imposed by the state government as well as a vaccine mandate, you should not have the audacity to seek a promotion. On the whole Trump-won-410-electoral-votes lie, I believe the subject got boring for literally everyone, and everyone can see that you have gone off the deep end trying to find something to attack me with, but just to clarify, someone on OAN once said that Trump won 410 electoral votes. Nothing to do with me. What OAN claimed, and this is something I will continue to stand for, is that Trump won. And that is what matters. I can not state the exact margin by which he won, because I do not have enough evidence for such a statement, and it will all have to be clarified eventually by a nationwide audit. The 410 thing is just a boring and repetitive talking point used by the two RINOs because they have nothing better to say".

@DaleForOregon First admit and apologize for your lies and only afterward have the audacity to give me lessons on what is right and what is wrong. I have already addressed this lie of yours and further explanations I will only give to the people if requested by them, not to 2 angry RINOs who are so scared of the MAGA movement that they would embarrass themselves like that just for an additional percentage in the polls.

"Good question, Mr Brooks. I'll begin by saying that yes, I do pay attention to what someone who would like to be a member of congress, and says they can win a general election. Because it matters what you say about your employer promoting a baseless, completely false conspiracy theory. And on your side, we've gotten nothing. I wanted to finally clarify what your views on this are, and yet again, you've sidestepped. Either Donald Trump won 410 electoral votes, or he didn't. As it turns out, the reality is, he didn't, but I don't think the reality will stop someone like yourself, quite frankly. And don't expect any congratulations even if you do finally make clear that you finally realize that he didn't win 410 electoral votes. The rest of us knew this more than a year ago; it's just taken you much longer to realize even this much. Until you can begin by finally admitting he didn't get 410 electoral votes, you are a complete liar, or a believer of baseless conspiracy theories, and Oregon's 6th doesn't need either in Congress. As for your attack on my negativity in this campaign, yes, I admit I was at fault. Dale Scott and I took the campaign off to a bad start. But importantly, we were able to put that negativity aside when we agreed to mutually stop attacking each other. You had an opportunity to sign on to. But you did not, since you rely as much as I do, or even more so, on negative campaigning, but while I've realized this and worked to correct it, you have not. While Mr Scott and I were attacking each other, you weren't campaigning. When you did begin campaigning, you waited for a little bit, and since then, you've run an exclusively lie-based, and attack-based campaign. Returning to my own negative campaigning, I will say this: I apologize sincerely for previously contributing towards this campaign's negative atmosphere. It wasn't fair to the Republicans of Oregon's 6th district. And that's why I've reduced my negative campaigning. Now that I've answered your question, I invite you to address mine - Do you still think Donald Trump won in 2020? Specifically, do you or do you not think he won 410 electoral votes? A simple yes or no will suffice for both questions."

Cooper: "Not once did you denounce the 410 electoral vote myth. Why not? More pertinently, why won't you answer this simple question: do you believe Donald Trump won 410 electoral votes in 2020?"
"It seems like you have paid just as much attention to what I said as you have to the needs of your constituents. I said that while I am convinced Trump won, I haven't seen enough evidence that he won by 410. You know, Ms. Cooper, nobody in this race can claim to have run a perfect campaign, but at one point, I have to ask. Do you have anything to offer? Because ever since you entered this race 3 months ago, you have turned it into a slugfest. Why? Because you know no one will vote for you if we talked about your actual record, so you had to turn the public debate into this gigantic mess? You say I am unelectable, well how electable are you given how you have run your campaign so far? Those are some real questions, not the talking points you are used to. You know, at least Mr. Scott has some clear values he promotes, regardless of whether he believes in them or not. But you? You are a disgrace, and I am embarassed I have to run against you."

"Your hypocrisy will never cease to amaze me. Do I need to remind you why we are even talking in the first place, even though I have so much better things to do than having to tolerate your lies? It is because you tried to slander me without anybody mentioning you at any point, and I would not stand for it. Do I need to remind you why last month this campaign was the way it was? It was because you and your newfound ally have decided to run ads with lies about me. YOU have always started these because you are desperate and losing, and I am sorry that I would not just roll over and let you slander me! If you had just kept running your campaign and not tried to viciously slander me as you tried with Scott and Miller, I would have ignored your existence because frankly, it is no pleasure to think about or to see you. I am sorry that you seem to have severe memory issues, but I will not stand for this. You can not pretend you are somehow innocent or that I am the root cause of all of this when you have NOTHING to offer other than lies and attacks. What did you say you fought for in the Statehouse? Lower taxes? No mask mandates? No vaccine mandates? This state has some of the toughest mandates and highest taxes in the nation! That is your real record, that you have been running away from, that you do not want people to know about. A record of failure! But I shall show the truth to the people. Your sad attempt to pretend you do not understand English and try to relitigate the 410 thing is pathetic, and honestly, so embarrassing I will let it speak for itself."

Dale Scott releases new ad in Portland and Salem media markets spending 3 points in total

Quote
Meet Dale Scott. His parents taught him the value of community service. Now, he has decided to run for Congress to serve the interests of the constituents of Oregon's 6th congressional district. He will fight against critical race theory and mandates. He will fight to cut your taxes, and reduce inflation.

Doyle Brooks @DoyleBrooksForCongress  I am the only candidate who truly opposes mask mandates, vaccine requirements, and socialist restrictions!
Your sad attempt to pretend you do not understand English and try to relitigate the 410 thing is pathetic, and honestly, so embarrassing I will let it speak for itself."

Rep. Cooper: "Quite frankly, hese comments are stupid by even your standards, Mr Brooks. For starters, let me clarify my statehouse record. You are either lying or genuinely believe this and are in that case very stupid: if you had any experience whatsoever in governing (which, incidentally, you do not), you'd know that you cannot always get everything you fight for when the other party controls the legislature. Democrats have a powerful trifecta in Oregon, and I did the best I could to fight them and fight for my constituents and conservative ideals. To put it more simply: no Republican could've accomplished that much in a state as blue as Oregon is. I accomplished as much as I could. Yes, there are still mask mandates, still too high taxes, and still a million other things we need to fight in Oregon - but not me, and not any Republican, can change that unless we somehow win the legislature, which is borderline impossible given how blue Oregon is. I don't know which is worse - if you know this fully well and are trying a pathetic attempt at attacking me with a charge you know is weak, misleading and false, or if you are genuinely too idiotic and oblivious to your own state's politics to understand how things work. If you were to represent District 19 in the Oregon House as I have (though fortunately, I highly doubt my constituents in District 19 will be subjected to this unfortunate treatment), you (like any other Republican) would be unable to do much more than I did, given the power Democrats hold in our state legislature, and you would have in fact likely done significantly less - you would have talked a big game, but accomplished little, I'm sure. 'A record of failiure,' you say. Well, I disagree. Every Republican in both houses of this legislature has fought these things, some more than I and others less than I. But despite our best efforts, and some progress, Democrats have most of the power. So when you are saying that I have a record of failiure because this legislature enacts liberal policies, not only are you displaying your ignorance, you are also saying all Republicans in the state legislatures have records of failiures. I disagree very strongly, and I advise you next time either do your research (since I'm guessing you weren't aware of any of what I just explained), or stop trying to lie and slander great Oregon Republicans in the legislature who have done the best they can (in case you were aware of what I said and decided to lie anyway). This is an important lesson for you, Mr Brooks, whether or not you knew what I just explained - if you did know, you should avoid lying because people will call you out on your lies, and if you weren't lying and were genuinely unaware of this, now know that even in Congress, there will be limits on how much progress we can make, and it's something important to accept - one can fight for all their goals and values, and while much of the bills they fight for may pass, some may not (this is especially true as a Republican in the Oregon Legislature, which is controlled by Democrats). In your case, I doubt any of your goals would be achieved or that you'd even truly fight for them (rather, you'd just grandstand), but generally, the rule I just described will apply unless one party has a massive majority in Congress (which we might be able to get in 2022, though it's possible we don't). And best of all, you have yet to answer a simple yes or no question. How pathetic is it that instead of simply answering, you have come up with the weakest, most pathetic, most baseless and least ingenious 'attack' (if it could even be called that) possible? Before you try to do this sort of thing, I'm going to give you another chance to simply clarify your view on whether or not Donald Trump won in 2020, and if he won 410 electoral votes. Just say yes or no, though I know it will be difficult for you when you could add on so many baseless attacks instead."

"Of course you would go on the "you're an idiot" route. This is all you have got on a very legitimate question. How dare we hold our elected officials accountable when they break their promises? Even moreso, you somehow dared to BRAG about your efforts in those areas, despite the realities I pointed out. You are an embarassment to the Oregon Republican Party, a disgrace to conservatism. How dare you ask the voters for a promotion when you have done nothing in your previous offices? A key fact that you seem to be forgetting is, I am not like you! I will not bring shame upon my constituents, I will not ruin the prestige of my party every day like you do. If I fail in accomplishing my goals in Congress, not only will I not seek a higher office, but I will retire and exit politics! This is my promise to you the voters. I will not be a career politician like Heather Cooper, I am going to Washington to make the life of my constituents better and if I fail, which I won't because I am nothing like her, I won't dare to run for anything again."

"Mr Brooks, I called you stupid and idiotic because there was honestly no other way to describe your statement - you know, I've been polite and courteous for as long as I possibly could, even when you weren't, but every person has their limits! And this statement of yours reinforces that you are either very stupid or think the people of this district are. You have ignored most of what I said, where I slowly and clearly explained how you are limited in how many of your goals you can accomplish when the opposing party has a large majority. In Congress, this will not be the case, unless you think the nation is as blue as Oregon. Exasperatingly - and I'm sure people of Oregon's 6th looking for answers join me in my expasperation at your response - your response is shallow, and vapid, and you are clearly either very shallow and idiotic or believe your supporters are, to believe this. I didn't break a single campaign promise of mine, which you'd know if you took the time to actually, I don't know, read and research your opponents. And I have done far from 'nothing' - I have still advocated and gotten suff done in my tenure, serving on committees and making sure District 19 has a lower tax burden. Again, you would know this if you actually researched instead of assuming all your opponents are as useless and shallow as you. I'm not an embarrassment to the Oregon Republican Party, which has supported me in my state house reelection campaigns, which I've worked with. I've collaborated with many Oregon Republicans, such as the House and Senate Minority Leaders, and they'd testify I'm not an embarrassment unless your definition of the term is different from everyone else's (who knows, it might be). And yes, yes you will bring great shame upon the people of Oregon's 6th if you are ever somehow elected. Because you still refuse to admit Trump lost - I'll get to more on that in just a moment - and are the biggest fool to ever run for congress from this state, someone who is all words and no work, someone who just keeps repeating the same lines without any record of progress to point at (only a record of lies and shame). And in fact, you aren't alone in saying if your tenure is a failiure, you won't seek reelection - if you'd taken the care to research and pay attention, you'd know I made a similar, bolder statement recently, in which I promised I'd resign a year after inauguration day, incidentally, exactly two years from today, if the district's unempolyment rate isn't down and median income isn't up.

And finally, getting back to your initial point, if it can be called that: I went down the 'you're an idiot path', if that's what you'd like to call it, because you are an idiot, a deflecting, shameless liar and idiot who has made no progress and has no accomplishments. You have still not - despite being asked multiple times by me and Mr Scott - given a straight answer to the questions, do you believe Trump won in 2020? Do you think he won 410 electoral votes? Simple questions, and requiring simple yes or no answers I'm sure even you can string together. But even this time, you couldn't say yes or no to two questions. You went into a meandering rant and have still not answered the questions. I refuse to farther converse with you unless and until you first finally say yes or no, and answer the questions. I'm sick of you not answering simple questions, and so are, I'm sure, the people of this district. Is this how you'd respond if a constituent asked a question, just out of curiousity? Would you refuse to give a yes or no answer when pressed repeatedly, and instead talk about every other topic, and change the subject? If not, please just take a minute and answer two short questions. There are only three reasons you haven't - you haven't noticed or have forgotten that I asked them, don't know the answer, or are too ashamed of your answer to respond. So either answer the two questions or tell us which of the three is the reason you won't."

"This is just a bizarre rant to cover up for the fact that you have failed in the State House. But by your own standards, you have. Considering this, allow me to be skeptical of your pledges to resign. I will no longer engage in a dialogue with you on this because you are so desperate that you would speak for hours just to cover up for your failures with meaningless noise, and instead I will tune you out and address the people of this District directly.

Also, do you not speak English or do you just pretend not to? I have said time and time again, from the beginning of this campaign, that I believe President Trump won the 2020 election. It is my view, as well as the view of many Republicans in this country, and I stand by it. Hopefully now you will just stop because honestly, you are so desperate you are embarrassing yourself. I know you are losing, but still, where is your dignity? Oh, I forgot, you didn't have any in the first place!"

Dale Scott holds Salem rally
Quote
Numerous Democratic politicians are taking away your rights with draconian measures, that not only take away your constitutional rights, but do not even achieve what they were "supposed" to. Inflation is still out of control, yet Congressional and White House Democrats do nothing about it. Your children are being indoctrinated to hate themselves and you in our public schools. This is a concept that is straight out of 1984. In Washington, I will against all of this garbage, and also cut your taxes and help drain the swamp!

Dale Scott resigns from Nike to focus on congressional campaign and spend time with his family

"My resignation from Nike was simply the right thing to do. I am tired of their COVID hysteria, including mask and vaccine mandates. I was also spread too thin between my family, my campaign, and my responsibilities at Nike."

The disgrace of the Oregon Republican Party Heather Cooper has perfectly characterized her own record: "I have gotten stuff done". What stuff? Nobody knows, not even herself. She bragged about lowering taxes and fighting mandates, but she lied! The people know better how their lives have been! Now, desperate that she is getting called out on her deceptions and failures, has somehow managed to succumb to new lows even as I thought she couldn't get any worse! She thinks people who question her record are idiots! This is how she will treat her constituents too, not that she'd ever be elected. She is pathetic, and brings shame upon this District.

Thomas Ryder's January 2022 Schedule

January 1-5: Spent with family in Corvallis

January 7: Meet with Sen. Jeff Merkley to discuss progressive priorities in Congress

January 8: Rally in Salem. Reach out to voters put off by Testikov's radicalism. Focus speech on support for Build Back Better and the infrastructure bill.

January 10: Return to Corvallis for Commission announcement.

People are naturally concerned about the Omicron variant that is currently working its way across America and the world. Today, I will attempt to cut through the noise.

To the best of our knowledge, Omicron is milder than Delta. Getting vaccinated further improves your chances or escaping hospitalisation.

Even a mild variant of COVID remains a concern though, and can easily overwhelm our health system if not managed effectively. Exercise caution as always, and please get vaccinated. If you have already been vaccinated, please get your booster shot; it has been proven to be at least 87% effective against the Omicron variant.

Following the scientific advice, Benton County will not be reinstituting outdoor mask mandates. We simply ask all citizens of the county to exercise caution and common-sense.

We are coming out of this pandemic, make no mistake. Stay alert, not anxious."

January 13: Rally in Detroit. Focus message on progressive priorities, such as the Green New Deal and and Build Back Better. Spruik leadership credentials forged during the height of the pandemic.

January 14: Strategy meeting in Marion Forks. Develop comprehensive strategy fot voters in the district's east.

January 16: Debate practice.

January 17-24: County Commissioner duties

January 26: Rally in Stayton. Focus message on previous career as business owner and job creator. In particular, focus on successful housing project Ryder Community Development undertook.

January 28: Zoom call with Bernie Sanders to dsicuss progressive priorities in Congress.

January 29: Policy speech in Lincoln City: Fighting Our Way Out Of The Pandemic. Focus on need for infrastructure investment and Build Back Better. Reiterate that Omicron is a milder variant.

January 30-31: Personal time.

@ComRyder: In response to some inane tweet from earlier, allow me to reiterate: Evidence suggests Omicron is more mild, but even that can cause trouble for our health system. Exercise caution, get vaccinated, and we'll be fine. Again, Benton County will NOT be reinstating outdoor mask mandates. Indoor mandates are currently enforced by the state; the commission has no control.

Statement from Rep. Cooper: "I trust the people of Oregon's 6th are more intelligent than Doyle Brooks here, understand what I have said, and see the difference between my handful of achievements and his none, and see the difference between his reluctance to answer a basic but crucial question. He thinks Donald Trump won. And though even he isn't bad enough to think Trump won 410 electoral votes, he didn't have the courage to speak up and stand for whatever beliefs he has when his company parroted this baseless lie. I, on the other hand, have stood steadfastly for my principles and beliefs, no matter what a man whose profession consists of repeating lies may tell you."

COOPER SPENDS 3 POINTS AIRING AD IN PORTLAND, EUGENE, IN WHICH SHE SHOWS STATEMENTS OF HER ASKING BROOKS MULTIPLE TIMES ABOUT ELECTION, HIS REFUSAL TO RESPOND EACH TIME, AND HIS ULTIMATE DUBIOUS ANSWER, WITH TEXT - "Doyle Brooks is too stupid to understand basic facts. Worse, he refuses to answer simple questions about the election, and has now admitted that he believes Trump won. Worst of all, Brooks has shown he has no meaningful beliefs he will fight for, in continuing to work for a company that told blatant lies of Trump winning 410 electoral votes. He didn't even denounce it. It's hard to tell what the real beliefs are of a man whose previous job was repeatedly telling lies, and who is reluctant to answer basic but very important questions. Whoever you vote for in the Republican primary, don't vote for Doyle Brooks unless you want an unprincipled, radial liar to lose to a Democrat like Eric Talbot, Thomas Ryder or Christine Jang, or even Yuri Testikov, in the general."
