As if losing its status as a world superpower after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact wasn't enough, Russia is done as a Great Power too -its unmitigated failure in Ukraine has merely sealed the deal:

Oh Putin, if the West or Ukraine wanted you dead, you would be. No need to stage fake attacks when a sniper can easily do the job. The difference is the west no longer assasinates heads of state, they're not you.

Again guys, still very early on. Prigozhin dooming as always. This attack was expected. I'll believe Russians are in serious danger when Klischiivka falls in the south and Berkhivka settlement in the north falls. As for now, any actual talk of encirclement of the city is inappropriate. For now there has not been any major breakthroughs.

The Russians don't care that their American pawns bend the knee, you're still the enemy to them, they will not reward you.

You actually hear this point come up much more incisively from South Africans much much more than Indians or Brazilians. Africans in general feel this global marginalization much more strongly.

It also can’t event control its own country. Most of the “global south” doesn’t want to deal with the west due to past colonialism but has leashed themselves to Russia and China in perpetual servitude.  Sooner or later the masters will call in that free money debt.

Finland government that took power is far-right, pushed by the higher anti-Russia sentiment that grew in Europe - but especially Finland - since last year. So this kind of rhetoric shouldn’t come off as surprising from Finland more specifically. I doubt non-extremist governments in rest of Europe would be so open to push this, if only because they know fully turning against the South - especially Africa - so openly is bad strategy as well.

I hope they do thar though, if only to become even more clear to more South countries how condescendingly they see them, as if they could “buy” a full policy alignment through basic humanitarian aid. If anything that motivates people even more to oppose the West instead of going to its side because they perceive it as open bullying to force them to fall in line. And makes more clear than ever that more economic independence from the West should be pursuit.

Africa is the place that Europeans feel the most entitled to push that kind of “higher moral ground savior but with our conditions” logic because of outdated white superiority notions that are always exposed whenever a more right-wing party comes to power there. And it’s funny how it’s pure fear driving these people to power - Finland obviously went so hardline to the right because of the impact of the Ukraine War for example into the Finnish and Eastern European mentality.

Global south sure is letting that “free” money hook slide further and further down their throat. Sooner or later Russia and China are going to call in the favors owed and they won’t be as nice as the West. Vassal status incoming, will need to eventually need to send your citizens to be their meat suits for their wars. Enjoy.

Eventually Russia will empty out everything east/south of Urals or those they don’t consider “Russian”. Once they have to start tapping in to the young actual Russian men, that is when things could get dangerous for Putin. But right now they have no problem with emptying Siberian villages into the meat grinder.

Probably because very few people who are not prisoners forced to are actually Russian. When they run out of their slave populations east of the urals and have to start digging in solely to “Russian” men that number will crater fast. Russia is doing its best to get to that point by spending men like a drunk person in Vegas.
