If this is something, why is the West just talking of hey, our ally is going to get invaded in a month plus or minus a couple weeks?

Russia is obviously doing gunboat diplomacy, but what is everyone else doing?

As a citizen of Ukraine, I must say that I hear almost nothing from the Ukrainian media and from government officials about the situation at the border. For two weeks after the first Politico report, former Defense Minister Taran, current Defense Minister Reznikov, and NSDC Secretary Danilov called it a "fake" and denied presence of any Russian troops on the border.

According to the Belingcat investigation, the head of the Office of the President Yermak drained a secret special operation to the Russian secret services, so I will not be surprised if now these traitors, who unfortunately have unlimited power, are silent and waiting for an attack to surrender Ukraine without a fight.

People must understand that if this is true, there is a 90% chance of an invasion.

I'm glad public support is growing. In the case of an invasion, we will fight for every piece of land, we will fall killed here, but we will not again go to be lawless and oppressed nation under the rule of a marasmic from Moscow. But realistically assessing the situation, we must recognize that we have very little chance of winning without the support of our allies. In the case of an invasion, we will need a lot of support, otherwise Ukraine will perish and democracy in the world will perish behind it.

Concerning, though it's difficult to make a fair assessment based in reliable information. I think Putin may use the buildup as leverage to gain formal control over Donbass and other areas he's been looking for since 2014.

Problem for the Western nations is that beyond sanctions there's not a ton of leverage. Ukraine would, despite massive aid, not be able to resist an invasion. A US or NATO involvement would inevitably get us close to WWIII.

If something does happen, there won't be an all-out war. Russia will just officially incorporate the 2 breakaway regions and that's it.

I don't think they are interested in any regions where there's no Russian majority.

Im calling bulls**t on this. Russia's political desire to regain some form of control over the former Soviet Republics has been obvious to anyone watching. This is also the same logic that other countries used to pretend that a certain angry Austrian guy would draw the line at the Sudentenland.
