Well, while not exactly enamored with Menendez, I'm encouraged by recent polls giving him the edge on Jnr

This one is back in our column. Sucks for the GOP, it was their only chance for a pick-up. Wouldn't shock me if even this is out of play on Halloween.

Oh yea.... In other news, Menendez has been backs by the leadership of black churches, (black ministers). Supposedly Corzine bought them last year, as if they didnt agree with him on most of the issues anyway and never endorse Reps really. Menendez isnt a millionaire and they surely weren't bought.

Every recent poll has had a similar result to this except for Strategic Vision (R).

Whoa Whoa...no need to get your panties in a bunch...I'm just saying 5% MOE is kinda indicative of junk.

Notice how I haven't said "Tom Kean is going to win...or make it even close."

Quinnipiac, not my favorite, had it within the MOE.  Close race.

This is still a tossup. It will come down to turnout.

Larry Sabato has this race a toss-up but he says that Democratic strength in NJ usually adds about 5% come Election Day that doesn't show up in the polls

Furthermore, that consistent edge Jnr had from late August to late September has all but eroded

If you go to the Real Clear Politics Senate page, it shows that Menendez has lead in 6 of the last 7 polls and the average of those 7 polls puts Menendez up by 3.9% He has definitely regained the momentum from Kean Jr.
