Virginia: Senator George Allen (R) continues to struggle. He now leads James Webb (D) by just three percentage points, 47% to 44%. Data and Article Coming Later. When leaners are included, it's Allen 49% Webb 46%. This is the fourth consecutive survey showing increased voter support for Webb. Only once in those surveys has Allen reached 50%. At the beginning of October, Allen was ahead 49% to 43%.

Hopefully Warner still has some magic up his sleeve left over from '05.

The Clinton visit probably won't hurt, either.

Warner needs to get out there big time now that he isn't worried about the presidential race. We need to win this race because Lieberman may turn his back on us (if elected).

Warner is scheduled to spend the entire last week before the election campaigning solely for Webb.

Yes, I sure hope Warner does help swing VA Webb's way (along with Bayh working to swing IN-2, IN-8 and IN-9, the Democrats' way)

As long as the lead is kept around 3%, Webb still has a fair shot at it

Thats been a big worry of mine. If the Republicans abandon Schlessinger (which they seem to have done already) then Lieberman will owe his victory to them, and he will have to become more conservative as a result. I just hope his positions on the environment and civil rights don't change.
