4th Lincoln General Court Opening - Election of a Speaker

This being the day set by the third Lincoln Constitution for the convening of the Lincoln General Court, and myself being the Dean of the Lincoln Legislative Body, I declare the Lincoln General Court will come to order! (bangs gavel)

All deputies are reminded of the need to swear in in the appropriate thread. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of office. I will also take this opportunity to remind members of the activity requirements recently added to our constitution - missing 4 final votes in a row, or 8 within the session, will result in automatic recall from office

Pursuant to the SOAP, the first order of business is to elect a Speaker.

I will now accept nominations for the office of Speaker. Deputies shall have 24 hours to make such nominations. After that, we will vote between the nominated candidates.
