The upside: You get infinite money during your life, and do not have to face any negative consequences during life for the privilege (so no getting in legal trouble or anything).
The downside: If hell exists, then you are automatically sent there for your afterlife.
Note: if it turns out that hell does not exist, then there is no downside towards taking this deal.

No. Infinite money would be boring. Make it a mere trillion dollars and I might consider it.

I'd do it. I'm not opposed to going to hell as it is.

Infinite is a bit much, and seems a fortiori to suggest that nobody else has any, which makes the hypothetical impractical to put it mildly, but that nitpick aside (I'd settle for a measly 100 billion), since I think the odds hell exists are basically zero, sure. But not from birth. Give me the winning lottery ticket at about say age 30.

What is the nature of this hell, and of the likelihood that it exists?

The likelihood that it exists is zero, so no need to worry about the nature of it.

I mean, in any situation where we’re talking about receiving infinite money, I don’t think real-world logic applies.

Wouldn't infinite money be worth nothing?

And no. I am agnostic on the existence of Hell, but I'll pass on that gamble.

In particular, I would think that any entity with the capacity to offer this deal would know more about the likelihood that an afterlife exists than any of us do or would.

Firstly, I believe in an afterlife.

Secondly, infinite money would get either get very boring quickly, or very scary. One might say infinite money IS hell.

And there's one supernatural entity in particular who's known to offer exactly these kinds of deals...

Yes.

I'd use the money in a transformative way as it becomes meaningless if I have an unlimited supply and in being unlimited has no ill effects (inflation etc) due to the deal offered. So I'd redistribute it to end poverty, privilege and hunger.

If doing so sends me to hell then gladly.

yeah, because if hell exists i'm going there anyway no matter what, that's just how it's always been and always will be, so i guess in this scenario at least i get something for it.

agree w afleitch about using it to make the world a better place too.
