#5 USC loses at Stanford 75-69, their first loss of the season.  Baylor is the last remaining unbeaten team.

And then there were none, as Baylor loses at home 65-62 to Texas Tech, which overcame a 15-point deficit.  Baylor missed a tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.  Tremendously entertaining game.

The most improved team from last season is clearly Iowa State, but Tulane should get an honorable mention.  They're now 4-1 in the AAC with wins over Memphis, Cincinnati, and Wichita State -- the last two on the road.

Does Oregon State get blown out tonight?

Yes.  And to answer your other question, it's hard to pick which of Oregon State or Georgia is worse.  Maybe they should play; it would be the basketball version of the UConn-UMass football game. Wink

A Georgia-Oregon state basketball game is similar to a UConn-UMass football game. Do you assume that seldom-used guard Malik Thomas and seldom-used centers Harrison Hornery and Boubacar Coulibaly make an appearance late in the second half for USC against Oregon State?

Seton Hall just fell to DePaul, which had been 0-5 in the Big East, 96-92.  The Pirates nearly pulled off a comeback for the ages by scoring 16 points in the last 56 seconds.  But the hole was too deep for them to dig out.

Stanford ran off 23 straight points in the second half to overcome a big deficit and win at Washington State, 62-57.  (Hi, Donerail!)

Oregon upset #3 UCLA last night 84-81 in Overtime.

I was up late last night and caught the last couple minutes of regulation.  Oregon was up by 6 with the ball with 30 seconds to play but completely imploded, allowing UCLA to tie the game.  I was sure the Ducks were going to lose in OT and was surprised to see the actual result this morning.

Just as it appeared Monmouth was set to replace James Madison in the Colonial (at least for football with all sports membership likely to follow), HBCU Gameday is now reporting that Hampton University is now the frontrunner to join the conference.

This occurred amidst Twitter rumors that William & Mary and Elon were looking to return to the Southern Conference because of the increasingly northern focus of the league.

Strong possibility for the league to potentially expand by 2 more but geography unclear. It has shifted away from Fairfield and towards Stony Brook to join Monmouth. Strange 13 team football league unless someone is leaving.

That's 107 points against the #6 defense in the country (per Kenpom).  Impressive.
