I have one final four team left, Kansas. Terrible year for me bracket wise.

I also have just Kansas left.

Out of curiosity what were your other teams? I had Houston, Kentucky and Gonzaga, with Houston beating the Zags in the final.

I had Gonzaga, Baylor, Arizona and Kansas, with Gonzaga defeating Kansas in the final.

I had Arizona, Texas Tech, Iowa, and Kentucky (thought I had gone with UCLA in the East, but looking at the actual bracket I must have changed my mind), Arizona over Texas Tech in the final.  So two of my Final Four lost in the first round, the other two in the Sweet 16.

Xavier looking to finally have a retort to the south's cry of zero SEC championships. Chalk one SEC championship up to the Big East after running through the gauntlet of Florida, Vanderbilt and TAMU en route to the title!

Johnnies, who beat X twice down the stretch, looking like a major snub!

That was a terrific final game!

Somehow didn’t realize this thread existed.
Boring final four, was hoping for Miami or Saint Peters in it. Why did they collapse so hard?

You played one week of the pick'em in this thread. Smiley

We finally have an exciting game for the first time since the Sweet 16.

The national championship will be a rematch of the 1957 game, when North Carolina defeated Kansas (with Wilt Chamberlain) 54-53 in triple overtime.

This is the first time I've ever heard a Dixieland version of the national anthem.  I kind of like it.

This is the same NC team that was literally blown out on its own floor against 11-21 Pittsburgh in late February.    Amazing transformation in just six weeks.

Disgusting team and program, another undeserved title is a loss for basketball and sports in general.

Do you ever say anything positive?

It’s always fun to look at ridiculously early Top 25’s for the next season, and there are a couple out already for 2022-2023.  Here are their top 5:

ESPN: Arkansas, Houston, UCLA, Kansas, North Carolina

CBS Sports: UCLA, North Carolina, Kentucky, Baylor, Houston

Obviously these will change due to draft decisions, transfers, etc.

All he'll need is Villanova and St. Joseph's to complete the set.

Big shocker, but Jay Wright is retiring as Head Coach at Villanova.

The most likely names to be on Villanova's shortlist:

Fordham Head Coach Kyle Neptune (Wright's preferred successor, I'd be very shocked if he didn't end up with the job)
Alabama Head Coach Nate Oats
Arkansas Head Coach Eric Mussleman
Marquette Head Coach Shaka Smart

Didn't see that one coming.

Oscar Tshiebwe is returning to Kentucky next year, while Kofi Cockburn and Johnny Juzang declared for the NBA draft today.

SMU's Kendric Davis, the AAC player of the year, is transferring to Memphis.  This creates the unusual possibility that if he repeats, he would be a back-to-back conference POY -- for two different teams.
