Also, I'm changing my pick in Saturday's Memphis-Wichita State game to Wichita.

Not one of my better decisions.  Memphis continues to be the most puzzling team in the country.  They lost to Tulane last time out and were down two starters due to injury today, but ran Wichita State out of their own gym.

Creighton hits a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to a second OT.  I will never understand why defending teams don't foul when up 3 in that situation.

ETA: Creighton won in 2OT.  Not fouling at the end of OT cost Marquette the game (and serves them right IMO).

If I had the room and desire to do so, every Memphis game would be in the pick'em, just to keep messing with everyone.

That Memphis loss at Tulane (by 1 point with three starters out) suddenly looks a lot better, as Tulane just went into Cincinnati and beat the Bearcats easily.  They led by 23 at the half and held on to win by 8.

WEEK 8 RESULTS

I'm sure half of these are gonna be canceled too but whatever

That was a pretty good prediction, as exactly half of the games (15 of 30) were canceled. Smiley

I won the week at 10-5, while PA was 9-6.  Illiniwek and NYE were 8-7.

Year to date (147 games):

101 GeorgiaModerate
100 Pessimistic Antineutrino
94 Illiniwek
89 NYE
67 JGibson
21 Orwell
10 Utah Neolib

Is anybody other than myself going to watch Sacramento State @ Oregon State at 6:00 PM ET?

Ole Miss and Tennessee heading to OT tied at 51 in a game that's been kind of fascinating to watch, in a train-wreck sense.

I really need to stick with my first opinions.  I've lost more than I gained by switching.

I'd question if Patrick Ewing's job is in danger, but I'm not sure Georgetown could actually get a better coach. They really aren't a better job than Butler, Providence or DePaul at this point.

With the exception of their football and rifle program, Murray State has accepted an invitation to join the Missouri Valley Conference,

Interesting.  According to the article, they were the last founding member of the OVC still in the conference.  I didn't know that Louisville was once a member.

It is exceptionally likely that Racer football is expected to move to the MVFC - it's just a separate application process.
UND was a pretty mediocre program when they made the move, and they are competing quite well now. Though I don't think the same dynamics are as play in Kentucky. It's okay, everyone needs a bottomfeeder that brings basketball legacy.
