I support most of this act. I support banning armarite rifles and getting them out of the hands of the general public and mentally ill.
However not permitting firearms for police during traffic stops endangers our law enforcement personnel. I support permitting firearms for police during traffic stops but requiring body cameras on all police officers and obviously, de-escalation training. I’d support a future bill that does ban armarite rifles, but also adds what I just suggested. Being a police officer is a dangerous job, and this further endangers them.

Nay on overriding the veto, though I’d support a similar bill in the future.
