Sununu's relatively narrow defeat in 2008. Considering he entered the cycle as "most vulnerable Republican incumbent" based on his 2002 win, the unpopularity of the Iraq war and his opponent's strength. A lot of people expected a Blanching there and the final result was rather tame.
