So many of these older members of Congress are clinging to their seats. We're going to see a lot more congressional deaths in office over the next few decades.

This is a good thing, because it means Hispanic majority (?) district TX-35 will now have a Hispanic representative.

Umm, Doggett has generally been one of the best Democratic Reps throughout his term.

I’d much prefer him to an unknown.
