I've been doing a ton of reading on early and mid 19th century America lately and I've found the linguistic style of that era creeping into my thinking and even a little into my writing and speech.

I've noticed that I tend to speak with a southern accent right around the time I need a come-from-behind win in the South Carolina primary to clinch my party's nomination.

Yeah, nowadays I use words like papist, ye, and divers a lot more than I used to.
