No, but I don't think I can clearly say which country is the best. There are a bunch of good countries out there (and, yes, the US is one of them on the whole, though perhaps not at the very top end of the good countries), but none of them is a clear single standout ahead of the others and each has different issues. If I was forced to name a best country, I'd probably say Canada, but there are negatives about Canada, too.

Of all Western democracies, Canada is perhaps the most abject failure in how it has failed the two core tenets of its national project:  keeping the Americans out and the Quebecois in.  Countries are more than the sum of development or livability statistics.

In terms of military and economic might, obviously.  In terms of how it treats its people, no.  In that sense, the US is far from the worst, but clearly not the best.  That would be someplace like New Zealand or a Nordic nation.

I don't know which other country has a populace that respects its own government more than we do in the U.S., but surely there are some countries that do. Here in the U.S., we despise our own politicians that we've elected (so we have nobody to blame but ourselves).

Australia and Hawaii and US are all the greatest countries if I was rich I would take Family to Hawaii or Australia


Western Europe speaks English and so does Australia, Canada and Jamaica due to fact Anglican Church, or the Church of England were once Catholic Church, but Henry VIII wanted a divorce, Henry's cane to throne it because Richard II was gay and didn't have children, but Here's weren't in line for throne


Eastern Europe doesn't speak much English or Russia due to Lutheran Eastern Orthodox and much of Latin America speaks Portuguese or Spanish except for Puerto Rico
