Make America Grumpy Again:
Which Bible Verse do you like the most and why?

John Dule:
The Bibleverse is easily my least favorite cinematic universe.

DaleCooper:
Luke 17:32 - "Remember Lot's wife."

I love that whole passage, but if made to choose one verse, I'd have to go with this one, even more than Luke 17:33. It's so beautifully ominous and I think about it often.

Another of my favorite passages is Isaiah 14:12-14, which is "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer . . ." I tend to gravitate towards stories rather than verses, so my favorite individual verses tend to be the more poetic ones.

If my soul was made of stone:
I had a music teacher who expressed fondness for John 4:33, as a sly John Cage reference which happens to be an utterly inane verse. I nominate Jeremiah 49:24, strangely evocative and alluring for a prophecy of heathens like me being smote.

Statilius the Epicurean:
Ecclesiastes 3:1: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
