If you were told in January 2019 that the US Economy would be in the worst shape it had ever been in in the nations history during 2020, and yet, the election would still be very close, what would you have assumed the Dem ticket was?

I probably would've assumed a Bernie Dem nomination and the fact that the election was very close could've told me that Trump may pull it off again and maybe Trump is able to hold on to most of the Rust Belt by successfully painting Bernie as a radical socialist. If I were told specifically the Democrat won, I would've just assumed 2016+WI, MI, PA.

The US economy was not in its worst shape ever in 2020 lol . Things were far worse during the depression and also unemployment dropped much faster in 2020 itself than it did post 2008

I'd say Rashida Tlaib is the Dem nominee and Nina Turner is the Dem running mate and they run an incompetent campaign, but get incredibly lucky with the fundamentals of the election
