Hey Dave,

I just noticed the swing map is not rendering colors properly for the 2020 NC Gubernatorial election.

These are the results displayed on the county hovers for 2016 and 2020 gubernatorials (to the tenth of a point for 4 SE NC counties):

Code:
		2020		        2016		       Swing
Robeson 51.3R-47.8D 53.0R-46.1D 3.4D
Scotland 52.4D-46.6R 53.9D-44.7R 3.4D
Bladen 53.4R-45.7D 53.0R-46.1D 0.8R
Columbus 59.9R-39.3D 58.8R-39.9D 1.7R

Yet the swing map shows this - swings of 10-20+ points to the Republican candidate:

I have not checked any other NC counties for the 2020 gubernatorial to see if this is off on a broader scale, but this stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

For what it's worth, I decided to also check the 3 most western counties and 2 of them also have the wrong shading:

Code:
		2020		        2016		        Swing
Cherokee 75.5R-23.1D 70.1R-26.8D 9.1R
Graham 75.1R-23.8D 68.4R-28.4D 11.3R
Clay 72.8R-25.7D 68.6R-28.8D 7.3R

I also noticed that the difference between the 2016 gubernatorial swing and trend maps is almost identical for every county: only 3 have a difference (both with 1 shade/gradient difference: Burke, Jones and New Hanover). Maybe that indicates some root cause/problem in the data? Either that or NC's gubernatorial race by (almost every) county was almost a perfect bellwether between the two cycles for the country.

All the 2020 Gubernatorial Election swing maps are broken, not just NC.

Hi -
Thanks very much for pointing this out. The database bug has been fixed and the maps for governor regenerated.  Please let me know if you find anything else.
Best,
Dave
