I have become a regular viewer of his monologues on YouTube.

Ten years ago I would have seen him as terrible but in this modern age there is just something so damn refreshing about someone who is willing to take heat from both sides for calling out their crap and yet still not be a moderate hero that stands for absolutely nothing.

I find it hilarious that writers in the Trump world are talking about him becoming a conservative because he attacks the woke left, but lacking any self awareness ignore the blistering cannonade he fires at the right over Trump, the environment, abortion or the pandemic.

He's an asshole, but he's also 10x better than the nightly "comedians" we have today (who basically just repeat the same jokes, and The Daily Show has become more of a lecture than a comedy show.)

Soft HP. I thought he was best during the Bush years. And he criticized Obama from the left a lot of the time. Voted "Mixed".

But if I were to ever watch it, I would keep in mind that Bill Maher is first and foremost a comedian.  Not a scholar.

Smug face doesn't make me want to watch.  He might be intelligent but "too intelligent" for my tastes.  That kind of personality plays well on HBO with a liberal late-night audience, but let's just say Joe Schmo in Erie County, Pennsylvania is more interested in watching "Family Guy" if he wants comedy with a lefty lean to it.
