Do NC state house. Clusters are a ok choice for the state house compared to the state senate anyway and you can just submit cluster by cluster.

There is one really bad cluster that results in screwing Moore county but the rest is fine.

Are we using the IRL clusters or making our own?

Good job at getting the deviations to 0! This comes accross as a least-change map that adjusts for population by pulling MN-02 inwards and making MN-01 more competative in the sake of partisan fairness. While I don't like how 3 stretches into some rural areas that start to lack connection to the metro, I overall think you did a good job at managing the metro. I like how MN-7 just takes in all of the West part of the state which is losing population pretty rapidly. This seems like a good map overall that is least change but deals with population changes well.

Thank you for your comments. In response thereto, below for review are versions 2 and 3, albeit with less effort to get the population variance down to single digits. Smiley

Okay so now I think we have enough interest to pick a formal template map to work off of, this way everyone can provide suggestions for one specific map

As for choosing a template, it'll be pretty simple, a majority of Dems/GOP/Indies need to approve, as was agreed here: https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=464408.msg8266261#msg8266261

Anyways (for simplicity this will be a vote on all proposed maps)

Also I doubt we will agree on a map this round, but this should at least eliminate maps that are not all that popular among any of the groups and see if a consensus can be reached

Maybe vote where the map(s) with the fewest votes get eliminated. If there's a tie for last both maps lose.

I wish to propose two maps to the commission for consideration.

OBD-1: https://davesredistricting.org/join/6ced3693-8539-41b4-a450-88f82df0999d
OBD-2: https://davesredistricting.org/join/677535e9-390d-46e8-b3e7-c948b32bebf3

These maps, I believe, both do a good job of representing communities of interest in Minnesota. Among others, St. Cloud, the Twin Cities, and counties in general are kept whole, as well as dedicated SE and W Minnesota seats.

Here is my version 4. Democrats need to think out of the box on this one a bit. I know they can do it! Smiley

The map has only one small municipal chop I think that does not follow a county line. Keep municipalities united!
