John Lewis was seen as a inspiration for black voters for helping turning Georgia blue (narrowly) in the 2020 election what if he still lived?

I think John Lewis would get some credit for the flip but I doubt it would make a difference congressionally.

John Lewis, the Civil Rights icon, deserves his iconic place in history.

John Lewis, the Representative, was an insignificant backbencher, given to ranting, which suggested to me that he suffered permanent damage from his beatings at Selma.  He was disappointing to listen to and sad to watch, even in his earlier years in Congress.  He deserves the great honor he has received, but to make him out to be this Giant of Congress is to enlarge him in death beyond what he was in life.
