CBC having no purple/Bernier/coverage of PPC is a little Nineteen Eighty-Four-ish.

CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. at least shows the Greens and Libertarians for a second. Some even showed Kanye West in November. How is this not obvious bias?

They don't?  So far, they have.  Maybe I'm not watching the same CBC that you are.

Global doesn't have a PPC "square" in their seat count actually. CBC had one when the parties were all at zero.

Tories lead the first poll in Long Range MT.

First poll of Bonavista has 11 votes.

First Avalon poll small lib lead.

Second, and larger, coast of Bays poll makes it a tied race.

Big Lib lead in first Newfoundland poll.

Grains of salt go!

I think that's a good amount of overreaction to meaningless single precincts.

On the Global TV coverage, not yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FplSFOFX_dw

But, that could change as the night goes on.

I love the election night tradition of CBC seriously analyzing election results based on a few hundred votes in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Polls have closed in the other Maritimes. Apparently Halifax is already reporting despite polls just closing.

Tory's now ahead in Bonavista and Coast of Bays, Liberals in Long range Mts. All three though remain close.

Is it any different from us overanalyzing Kentucky and Indiana counties?

And if we go by '19, the polling results in rural Newfoundland could *really* depend on *where* they're coming from within the riding...

I believe the polls are also closed in Gaspésie--Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine where they vote in the Atlantic Time Zone.
A few elections ago an announcer was shocked to see a Bloc leading in Atlantic Canada.

Far too early to start reading the tea leaves, but if the Cons pick up even a single seat in Newfoundland & Labrador then that doesn't bode well for the Libs. Maritimes are going to be a fun watch over the next hour.

I think every press site just gets their data from the national results agency, so I'm just using the cbc site to go with the cbc stream. DDHQ is also pulling the data if you want something more familiar.

NDP up in St. John East, so it probably won't be a free Liberal Flip even if it goes back to them.

In Newfoundland and Labrador CPC area ahead or very close in 3 seats where there has been a good amount of the vote coming in.  Most likely they will not win any of them but vote share wise this seems like good news for them so far.

Did you know that Biden won every voter in Dixsville Notch?
