The white men they interview, must disproportionately be Brooklyn hipster artsy types, while the white women are mostly from Upstate small towns and small cities

Nope, I think Fox/AP exit poll was far more accurate than CNN in 2020.

Fox/AP has Trump winning white men in NY 51-47 and Biden winning white women 56-43 and that seems to intuitively make more sense to me as well. I consistently see white women being 10-25 points more democratic in nearly every state except the Bible Belt.
