Which House district would you most want to live in? Leave aside practical concerns etc.

For me, Massachusetts 4, 5, 7, 8 or a New Hampshire district seem good.

This was my answer a few months ago to a similar question:

From the standpoint of climate and amenities and space to move, California 2 seems like the pretty clear choice to me. It doesn't get hot in summer or cold in winter, the scenery is spectacular, and it contains a large portion of a major metropolitan area.

If I had a job for which I would never need to come into the office (quite possible) and I were unencumbered by the desire to live near people I already know (less likely), that's certainly the district I would choose to live in. Maybe that's the answer you're looking for.

Ultimately this is a difficult question to answer as an American adult because I can really live in whatever congressional district I want to, meaning that it's not really something to fantasize about. As it is, I live where I do (California 17) because I don't have to pay rent; the last place I lived on my own was in Georgia 6. That seems like a strange answer to this question because it's nondescript suburbia, but clearly that was where I most wanted to live because if I wanted to live somewhere else more then I would have just lived there instead. So, then, maybe that's the answer you're looking for.

What do you mean by practical concerns?

I literally had the privilege of being able to pick any of the 435 available, and did so some years ago, so the two that I actually live in, NY-19 and NJ-08. Odd choices for most I know.

Xahar's pick is the first that came to mind, but if that weren't an option I'd probably go for either AK-AL or ME-01.

I'd like to be in a district that is geographically large, has decent sized cities and also has good looking scenery.

If MT-At large is allowed to still be an option, I will take that. If not, the choice becomes much harder. Maybe HI-02?

MO-6 (home currently)
MO-5

The country's largest congressional district, AK-AL has a decent-sized city in it and great scenery. The Utah ones are mixed city and wilderness too, or maybe one of the farther-north California ones.

Personally I'd take AR-03 if I'm on a budget, HI-02 if not

America's a lot harder to say than for Canada (where I would definitely want to go to Montréal or at least somewhere in Quebec). I don't know.

I'm guessing I'd feel most comfortable either in New England, in the Great Lakes region or in the NYC metro.
