The idea of such is immoral. Offering someone money to convert? It’s like slaughtering native Americans because they didn’t convert. Both of which were horrible things, but the latter is obviously bad.
Becoming religious for personal wealth is immoral.

Yes.

If a church, group or individual was trying to buy me with a million dollars for some purpose, I'd donate it to charity and then expose the f-ckers.

I do not think that this would be exactly in keeping with Christian teachings. And in more ways than one.

Is that possible? Because, sure, I'd take a million and go to church and publicly repent and whatnot. The thing is, I don't think that counts as a genuine conversion because--ya know--I wouldn't believe in the substance of it. Which, unfortunately, I do not have the sheer willpower to change for any sum of money. I would if I could.

I don't think it would be possible for me to meaningfully convert in any way purely out of financial incentive. But I suppose one could give it a go...

Kinda misses the whole point of religion, but having a shot at picking the particular faith that unlocks the good ending in the afterlife and making money in the process sounds like a win-win all around. But again, very unchristian unless we're going by the medieval church interpretation.

I'm much more interested in knowing whether or not BRTD would convert to Dianic Wicca for a million dollars.

Not if it required renouncing Jesus Christ.

I'd figured that the thought of worshipping nude with a bunch of lesbians would be more enticing to you, given the degree to which your spiritual activities and your onanism are already deeply intertwined.

I was unaware that was a thing in it....although it'd be better for obvious reasons if at least some were bi instead of lesbian.

I voted no.  I have nothing against Christianity, but I wouldn't have self-respect if I converted to a religion without actually believing in it to get money.  I would only do it if I absolutely needed that money--for example, if a loved one needed medical treatment that neither I nor they could pay for.

I would consider myself a "christian" in that I revere Jesus. I would not consider myself a "Christian" in that I am not interested in being any part of organized Christianity or explicitly Christian communities.

Voted no.

Given that I am a atheist, and I don't have to believe in Christianity or go to church, yes.

What do you mean by conversion. Do I have to truly in my heart accept God, or can I just pretend? How would anyone know what I truly believe?

Ok-- $15, and I'll become a vocal and outspoken Atlas Christian. Final offer.

How are we defining "convert to Christianity"? Do I need to just say that I'm a Christian? Start going to church every Sunday? Accept Jesus as my personal savior? Tell people that I accept Jesus as my personal savior?

I think my main reservations, unless we're talking about about some extreme form of Christianity, would be the fact that a big part of my identity is that I'm Jewish and not Christian, and also that I would feel bad about claiming to believe something that I don't. But a million dollars is hard to turn down.

Theoretically yes but you're already a Christian and thus ineligible.

Let's say you have to be baptized and formally join a church (it can be a liberal church obviously), and then attend church semi-regularly, not necessarily weekly but maybe something like twice a month on average.

Yes, but you'd have to pay me more than that to convert to hipster Christianity.
