For Governor, probably by the skin of his teeth, at least for his first term. I could see him being re-elected (nonconsecutively, of course) especially if a Democrat was in the White House. If a Democrat was President, he should win a second term easily. Likewise, having a Democrat in the WH when he is running the first time would make things easier.

I could see him serving in a statewide office for 12-20+ years or as Lt. Gov. for perhaps 3 terms under Governors of different parties.
