A new poll in light of the failed recall.

Strong FF. Not perfect, but overall a very good governor.

HP for breaking his own Covid rules, but a good governor and I certainly would have voted No.

I think it's a bit harsh to say HP because of one stupid mistake he made. I mean, it's not that he hurt someone on purpose or so.

It comes across as acting like he's above the rules, and he can't be bothered making the sacrifice he wants everyone else to make.

He reminds me of Patrick Bateman tbh but I was much amused by how tone deaf the GOP campaign was in California, of all places. One day they will thread the needle to get multiracial populism and the democratic "permanent majority will collapse like tissue paper, but sure, for now rely on the most voter repellent aspects of both Trumpism and neo Reaganism, sure.

you get the govt you deserve, and CA deserves it's governor

(and stop moving here 'cause your state failed you.  It's starting to feel a little like Oregon or Seattle in the 90s and look what those idiots did to those places.)

He certainly isn't a good person, and that includes before he stepped into the French Laundry.

I wish Newsom was that based.

HP, one of the worst democratic governors in the 21st century.

HP and I would've voted Yes, but at the same time probably still better than the median California Democrat.

He is a DLC Dem but Rs have no one other than Maverick Arnie Schwarzenegger that can win a GE in Cali

Cox looks like McCarthy and Larry Elder got shellshocked

Just like Biden isn't a socialist he is a DLC Dem and won't put Debt Ceiling into the Reconciliation and trusting Rs to back down on their pledge not to increase the debt Ceiling

He economically strangled thousands of businesses in his state for rules he clearly didn’t see as overly imperative for himself to follow.  HP.

HP. He is one of the worst Democratic Governors in the country. But for the weakness and odiousness of the California Republican Party, he would have been recalled.
