Young voters in Israel, Poland and perhaps Ukraine are more bigoted, why couldn't that also be true in India?

Would if be fair to say all voters who voted for Obama support murder of innocents due to his indiscriminate bombing & the coup in Libya which did nothing good but cause misery

It is fair to say all those who support Clinton are mass murderers because she supported the war in Iraq where millions of children were slaughtered & she followed that up with supporting Libya.

Voting is not a 1 way issue. Black people are okay to vote for a black president even if that guy is a warmonger & executes policy where brown children are slaughtered.

Or best US creating Mujhahideen to stop USSR which was essentially Al Qaeda & Taliban. US Universities printed radical Islamic textbooks, spread violent propaganda & helped to radicalize a generation & created terrorism. So should all US Citizens be branded as supporters of radical terrorism?

People vote for different things. Jobs. Employment. Economy. Religion. Corruption. Nationalism. Most times right wing governments comes when the earlier governments screws up the economy & is corrupt. And in parliamentary democracy, a party with 35-40% of the vote can form the government.

Another thing is US had Trump who is a climate change denier which atleast Modi isn't (Despite all his faults he is not a climate change denier). So, are all young people in US like Trump & climate change deniers?

It doesn't work that way.

To think some people here actually liked her as a candidate. (Vomits)

At one point I actually had Gabbard above Biden in my preferences. Very stupid move and I can never forgive myself for it.

I don't buy the excuses here. Gabbard has a history of anti-Muslim rhetoric and this is just another example.

Gross generslisation.

1/3rd of all Muslims on the planet live in Indonesia. When I work there, they are the most polite and peaceful people on the planet and I would struggle to imagine Kalimantan towns without their call to prayer late afternoon.

In Bosnia, the Muslims there are also peaceful and very friendly. They certainly did not instigate or desire the war in 1993.

If you were going to isolate the problem she is referring too, it may be geographical and historical factors.

Don't worry though, Instagram, Facebook and Google etc will erode any 8th century ideologies over the next 30-40 years in those parts of the world.

It will be interesting to see if the rate people are ditching Christianity in the western world will be proportional to the same drop in the world of Islam.

For all the bad qualities of social media, don't underestimate it's current effect on changing society in these s%$#hole countries.

Dramatic changes are currently underway.

Her entire shtick is being hot and appealing to a bunch of beta cucks who think a woman being in politics is only worthwhile if she's physically desirable. She is a non-serious person with frankly alarming foreign sympathies.

It’s true though. People are more likely to listen to you if you give them boners. Explain Palin or why people are thinking howling about AOC being a heartbeat away from making them slaves though she is just a backbencher.
This type of thinking is why Republicans who get caught in gay scandals eventually get elected for that matter.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Regardless of your opinions about Gabbard, she isn't in Congress anymore and she didn't win the presidency in 2020 and I assume you didn't vote for her in the primary anyway so no harm, no foul.

Note: I don't strongly support Gabbard but I still would say she is lean FF.

« Radical Islamism » in France means thinking that schools should be allowed to serve a halal option at lunch.

No. In some muslim neigborhooods, women have a hard time going outside in skirts. By not being allowed, I don't mean it's written in the law of course but they are threatened, insulted and sometimes even assaulted. Police is twenty times more laxist than in America. There is a saying " Policemen in America are tigers, they are sheeps in France." Some people in France, even a member of the socialist party who previoulsy was a member of the government told he feared a future civil war.

Yes, thank you for Francesplaining me. Police violence has been an ongoing, major these in France ever since the gilets jaunes protests kicked off in 2018. By which I mean, recent cases include the death of Steve Caniço in Nantes; music producer Michel Zecler being beaten up in a music studio; continued violence against protesters; accusations of the national police suffering from far-right entryism. It's, my word, quite a long list.

Meanwhile, this week we have seen two left wing commentators attacked by right wing extremists; a white nationalist teenager arrested for planing an attack with a "uranium based" bomb. All of which adds to wonderful cases such as this unprovoked attack on a teenager for daring to wear a left wing football club's hoodie; the case of an RN politician attacking a left-wing poster with a truncheon; the far right youtuber's video "explaining" how to murder left wingers. The threat posed by Radical Islam has largely consisted of having hysterics of women going swimming or cooking on TV with their heads covered; about the alleged "threat" posed by people denouncing anti-muslim racism; about the less than 1% of children who are homeschooled; or, as in your case, the misrepresentation of a tiny number of cases with the aim of painting a misleading and false picture of what life in the banlieues is actually like. In France, "radical islamism" apparently means just about any visible manifestation of someone's muslim faith.

So, you know, you might want to have a think about where the threat is coming from.

Progressives have every right to believe that France is about about to break up. I’m amazed nothing has happened in Belgium or Spain yet. These are rookie numbers compared to the years of steel though. Wonder how the world would handle it if we did have a years of steel that consumed several major countries at once.

Yeah, I have to agree with this. Islamism is bad. That said, it would be good if we had a different term for it because "Islamism" sounds kind of silly and gets confused with Islam.

You're analogy about him being the bibi of India is  Actually pretty accurate.

I mainly just dislike the INC much more than really support Modi. The INC in India were a super incompetent and corrupt party who played divide and rule for decades and practice a level of nepotism that is unprecedented.

It may be hard for people here to understand it but the hatred people in India have of the INC in general is extremely intense and that is due to how they have been for decades at this point. The reason why Modi and the BJP get so much young vote support in large part is due to that.
