Working experience, of some kind, is important for students' futures, but is a need all too neglected by too many institutions.
This bill would ensure that those who graduate higher education institutions have some kind of experience in work, or akin activities, thus giving them better livelihoods over the course of their adult lives.
I put in the provision relating to the disabled as I am not sure how they would fit in with this framework; my feelings on the matter are far from settled and I look forward to seeing how the chamber handles this, among other things.

I think I can tentatively get on board with this proposal with the following caveats:

First, I think it should be required that students should be given some class credit for this internship.

Second, they should have the option to be employed over the Summer term instead of the school year.

Feel free to introduce an amendment to this effect.

I like this bill. Adding a credit addition may also be a good idea

Proposed amendment. This is not by any means the limit of what changes I would do but this is in line with what two delegates have already requested.

What do y'all feel about this idea: "Second, they should have the option to be employed over the Summer term instead of the school year."?

I still think it is a good idea.

Also, the previous amendment is adopted.

Oh, I figured as much (you still thinking it was a good idea). I just was seeing what others thought.

I was waiting to give you a chance to write the amendment. But it's fine. An amendment will be written shortly.

This bill now has enough votes to pass, delegates have 24 hours to change their vote.
